Bayonetta Video Game Review

Bayonetta is a game that will intrigue players just by its sheer sense of curiosity. It is a completely wacky game that tugs on every cord of imagination. The game revolves around a girl who must fight her way through the game in order to complete her mission. It is a game that will have you laughing and wondering at the same time, but in the end will have you love it to its core.

Bayonetta is not just a game that involves crazy scenes and unbelievable stunts and enemies; it also has a strong plot. Bayonetta herself is a witch that has been asleep for over five hundred years. She has waked from the bottom of the sea and has a memory that is a bit foggy. She can remember however, that she needs to find 'The eyes of the world` and through the help of an onlooker, discovers that she must head to a city called Vigrid to find them.

The journey begins as Bayonetta stands in front of a clock face with an army of enemies behind her. The clock face falls and crumbles off of a mountain top and slams on the ground, and that is the prelude to the rest of the game. The game drifts in and out of insanity, with crazy things happening all around her. And as insane as the game is, she fits into the role as in one scene; she stores a monster up in her hair.

The combating in the game is what sets it apart from the rest. The fighting fives you the ability to perform feats and be part of the magic of the game. You can use a powerful item concoction mode, a comprehensive scoring system with leader boards and a screen disguised as a practise mode.

Bayonetta is the ultimate fighter; she has four guns that she keeps tucked into her high heeled shoes! She uses her body to punch, kick and shoot her way through the enemies that lunge at her from every corner. She can also do special attacks and torture her enemies in the most gruesome ways. She can humiliate them and conjure up creative ways to inflict pain on them. Weapons and other items become unlocked as the game unfolds and progresses. There are also hidden items and secrets to uncover as you battle through the game.

The ability for Bayonetta to dodge attacks helps her score more points. The game takes into consideration how she avoids being targeting from enemies and credits her for those moves. As she dodges moves she can also unleash, mid combo attacks, combo attacks and she can enjoy the flexibility in her fighting and what she is able to do.

There is a nifty on screen move list to help guide you through the moves she can do while playing the game. The game is on normal difficulty and is challenging, however harder levels can be exposed as progress is made.

This game is truly a gem. Playing the role of a witch on a vengeance and on a mission to solve puzzles and learn the truth is a game that evokes curiosity and interest. It is a game where the sky is the limit and no act can look surprising, if this game doesn`t have you stoked it will at least give you shock value.

Goody Goody Gumdrops — Madonna’s Offering Some Hard Candy

By Rochelle Karina

Madonna, the Queen of Pop, should perhaps also be crowned the Queen of Personal Reinvention, with a career spanning over two decades, studded with chart-topping hits and sold-out tours, and the ability to consistently wow fans the world over, she’s undoubtedly a pop-music icon. Madonna’s 2004 tour was even titled, “Re-Invention World Tour.”

Now she’s back again with her 11th studio album, “Hard Candy” and the first single from the album, “4 Minutes” is already topping charts. Madonna fans the world over are breathlessly awaiting official tour dates as her website announced three dates in April and May 2008. “Hard Candy” is unwrapped for the world on 28 April, and hits the US on 29 April.

On 30 April, Her Majesty takes to the stage at New York’s Roseland Ballroom. The “Hard Candy” kick off is presented by Verizon Wireless, Control Room and MSN and will be live broadcast in the US on MSN.com, followed by a 15 May broadcast outside the US. A show at the Olympia Hall in Paris is scheduled on 6 May and the Material Girl is headlining Radio 1’s Big Weekend on Saturday 10 May in Mote Park: Maidstone Kent.

2008Forthcoming “Hard Candy” Tour

“Hard Candy” features vocal collaborations between Madonna and guest artists Justin Timberlake and Kanye West among others with Pharrell Williams and Timbaland popping up as collaborators and producers. The first single from the album, “4 Minutes”—a flirty Madonna and Justin Timberlake duet—has already topped charts and critics have been praising the back-to-her-roots flavour of “Hard Candy.”

Strike a Pose—there’s nothing to it

Promo material for the album has everyone’s favourite Queen of the Dance Floor looking hotter than ever (how many near 50-year-old women could rock that hot cover shot like she does?) The mock wrestling champion belt seems incredibly apt after her March 2008 induction into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And if you’ve seen the “4 Minutes” video, you know she’s still got the moves.

Madonna’s no stranger to fame, and each time her star seems to be on the verge of waning, she’s proved everyone wrong and made a comeback with all new, all hot material. According to Billboard, her 2006 Confession tour holds the record as the highest grossing concert tour by a female artist. In the UK, she’s the most successful female artist in album and singles chart history, with over 61 Top Ten singles. The 2007 Guinness World Records and Forbes both list Queen Madge as the top earning female singer in the world. And her legions of loyal fans would all say, “Yeah. We’ve been telling you she’s great!”

Who’s That Girl?

Her career spans a wide range, from her early days of ‘80’s pop, her appearance in some less than stellar films, the controversy of 1989’s “Like a Prayer,” publishing her book “SEX,” to her award winning performance singing and acting in “Evita,” and beyond, she’s proven critics wrong, and rewarded fans with a consistent flow of new material.

She’ can lay claim to titles like multi-Grammy-award winning singer, songwriter, producer, cultural icon, world-renowned stage performer, video visionary, children’s book author, actor, director, documentary filmmaker and has sold over 200 million albums over the course of her career. That she is a savvy businesswoman, masterfully managing her career and taking advantage of the best and latest technology does not make her any less stellar an entertainer.

Judging by past history, the “Hard Candy” tour is going to be a serious and tasty treat. Early reviews of the album have been favorable, with critics apparently saying “mmm-mmm Good!” Rolling Stone said, “A songwriting team of American chart royalty helps Madonna revisit her roots as an urban-disco queen.” Brit mag Attitude gave the album a five out of five star rating and Entertainment Weekly praised it with a B+ rating. With 12 tracks, including titles like “Candy Shop,” “Give it 2 Me,” “Dance 2night,” “Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You” and “She’s Not Me”, it seems the world has a serious sweet tooth that only Madonna can satisfy. The ‘net is abuzz with talk and rumours of tour dates, and fans are on the edges of their seats, breathless and anxious for when they too can get a live taste of “Hard Candy.”

Another Party In The Park!

O2 Wireless Festival 2008

London’s Hyde Park

3 July through 6 July 2008

Four days and four stages of stand out talent, including some of the biggest names in rock, pop, dance and everything in between—it’s the O2 Wireless Festival 2008, the coolest festival in the heart of the city. Taking place in London’s Hyde Park over four days in July, the O2 Festival is in its fourth year and 2008 is looking like yet another

blockbuster event.

The festival starts off on Thursday, 3 July and runs through Sunday, 6 July 2008 and plays host to four nights of incredible lineups and cutting-edge bands. The O2 Wireless Festival transforms the heart of the city with pounding beats, dance tunes, rocking grooves, sunshine, beer and that famous festival atmosphere; a definite change from the usual Hyde Park mix as concertgoers enjoy market stalls, food vendors and of course, an almost overwhelming array of the hottest music around.

The Lineup is Smokin’

Once again, the Festival features a smoking list of all-star headliners, longtime favourites and incredible newcomers perched to be tomorrow’s stars.

Thursday’s lineup kicks off the festival in high form with a hip-hop and dance flavour as headliner and hip-hop supremo Jay-Z takes the main stage. Also appearing on Thursday is the always fabulous and fun Mark Ronson, the electropop sounds of Hot Chip, Irish electronica singer Roisin Murphy and dance favourites Hercules and Love Affair. Other acts scheduled for Thursday are Santogold, Alice Smith, Sparkadia, Hot Melts, Annie and Tinnie Tempah.

Friday sees a long list of top billers with the legendary songwriter and lyricist, former Smiths frontman Morrissey in his only UK festival date. Also taking the stages on Friday are alt-rock sensation Beck—in his only UK festival performance, indie-rockers The National, Brit indie faves Guillemots, the incomparable and iconic Siouxsie Sioux, Dirty Pretty Things, long-time favorites the New York Dolls and up-and-comers Lightspeed Champion. Other Friday acts include The Wombats, Mon Ouisch, Peter & The Wolf, Jaguar Love, The Hosts, Black Kids and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly.

Headlining a major lineup of dance music on Saturday is dance veteran Fatboy Slim; also on Saturday, ’90s mash-up favourites Underworld and the original funk-soul brother Bootsy Collins—bringing his tradition of glitter-spattered, colourful show to the UK for the first time in seven years. The Saturday lineup keeps up the groove with Swedish popster Robyn, electro-rockers Does it Offend You, Yeah?, Dans Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Sam Sparro and The Whip. Rounding out Saturday’s amazing lineup of acts are Cornershop, Mstrkrft, Cagedbaby, Booka Shade, Audio Bullys, Leon Jean Marie and Japanese Pop Stars.

Finishing off the festival with a night of incredible music and musicianship are the always energetic and passionate California rockers, Counting Crows in their only UK festival show, soulful guitarist Ben Harper and Australian alternative sensations Powderfinger. Longtime alt-rockers Goo Goo Dolls, the reggae sounds of Eddy Grant, comedic punk-pop group Bowling for Soup, The Hold Steady, the laid back sounds of Donavon Frankenreiter, Delays and The Galvatrons are also on for Sunday. Galactica, Joe Purdy, Magic Christian and Ryan Shaw make Sunday Festival appearances as well.

More artists are being added and the lineup is due to get even more amazing as the festival draws near. As with any festival, double check since supporting acts are being added all the time.

Getting In

Gates open at 2:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, and 12:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday with all days scheduled to end 10:30 pm. With no camping facilities, and strictly general admission tickets, plan to arrive early to get the best spots. There are VIP Experience packages, which offer reserved grandstand seating, all other admissions are general and there is no “Golden Circle” (space at the front of the standing area offering a primary view of the event).

There are three ticket options available; the Standard Day ticket is your basic entrance ticket giving you one-day admission to the Festival. The Club Experience package includes the Day ticket as well as private entrance to the concert site, a chill out area with DJ, private restrooms, undercover facilities and garden seating, BBQ style hot and cold fork buffet, private cash bar, and Live Nation Experience pass. The VIP Experience package includes all of the amenities of the Club Experience plus VIP tiered reserved seating for the main stage.

This year’s O2 Wireless Festival is shaping up to be a heart-stopping, mind-boggling four days of fabulous sounds from today’s hottest acts, and up-and-coming stars of tomorrow.

Rohan Leveling Guide

By Coreys Morehouse

Leveling Guide!

There are three main ways to level your character in rohan online and i will explain each of them.

Soloing/Quests

This way of leveling is not recommended for grinding purposes unless you have not choice. Before you find a party to grind its really a good idea to get your quests out of the way first. You get some really good exp and good items/gears this way. If you can’t find a party some quests are repeatable for exp and crons so this might be an alternative for you. In general solo grinding is slow however may run into a super fast spawn that you can continually kill quickly in a couple of hits. These spawns are best farmed for exp when they are your same level or a little bit lower. This is rare to find a spawn like this that is not crowded and if you are lucky it will be bare and you can kill all the mobs you want at a fast pace.

Party Grinding in Dungeon

This is prolly the second best way to level in rohan. This also depends and what class you are when grinding in a dungeon. If you are a healer, dark elf, archer type you may have alot of trouble staying alive in the beginning dungeons. You may die more times then its worth and won’t be very productive. Howerver tank type characters will level very fast in dungeons and rarely die… Well unless the whole party dies and they get mobbed by counltess monsters. So its very important to find a GOOD HEALER. Another great bonus about grinding in a dungeon is that you can obtain some pretty nice gears and some orbs/skill stones. You will also run across a boss here and there to get some extra exp boost and some great items.

High Level Mob Grind

In my opinion this is the best way to level your character. Generally you want a team of 3-4 people and you must have a HEALER. I recommend a Tank, Healer, 2 damage dealers. The idea is to go and find mobs 10-15 levels higher than your characters and start killing them. You would be surprised how fast you can kill them as the damage dealers kill them pretty fast. You can also have 3 damage dealers and 1 healer and take turns pulling mobs in and then rooting them. Early in the game you can easily get 2-3 levels an hour this way but as you gain a higher level you will start to slow down a bit obviously. Tip: if you die in a party with no healer just respawn back to town and leave party. Then you can register in party matching and you will be reinvited back to party and teleport there. Make sure you have plenty of summoning stones!

Conclusion

By mixturing in these 3 types of leveling you can level at a very fast pace and get some great gears along the way. These are the best ways that i have found to maximize the amount of time playing the game so i hope you enjoyed this guide and level super fast :)

Here’s Your Nickelback— The Canadian Invasion

By Rochelle Karina

Formed in Alberta by Chad Kroeger on lead vocals and guitar, Mike Kroeger keeping the rhythm on bass, Ryan Peake playing guitar and backing vocals and then-drummer Brandon Kroeger (later replaced at the drums by Daniel Adair), Nickelback is probably one of the most definitive bands of the modern post-grunge era genre. They first hit the scene in the mid ‘90s with the 7-track EP “Hesher,” which was quickly followed by the full-length “Curb.”

They started out as a cover band but quickly tired of playing other people’s songs, so Chad Kroeger put together a collection of original works, borrowed money from family and headed to Vancouver to a friend’s studio. That work brought the band to Vancouver and later that year, “Hesher” and “Curb” were born and series of cross-country tours soon followed.

The release of “The State” in 2000 sparked a 200-date tour and propelled Nickelback from virtual unknowns to a band playing in front of over a million people and appearing alongside the likes of Creek, 3 Doors Down and Fuel.

Nickelback has, over the years, developed a pool of fans spanning the pop, hard rock, alternative and metal genres with some rather disparate celebrity artists embracing and collaborating with the band.

The Right Reasons

The 2005 release of the chart-topping record “All The Right Reasons” included a guest appearance by ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons. The song “Side of a Bullet,” inspired by death of friend Dimebag Darrell Abbott of Pantera, also includes some guitar outtakes by the rock guitarist.

“All The Right Reasons” came after a long time on the road, when the band got together in Chad’s studio to jam. They took their time and over seven months and countless hours produced 11 tracks of the most insistent, dynamic and diverse Nickelback songs to date. “Savin’ Me” introduced a piano to their musical mix, and surprisingly, it works. The band has evolved into a deeply personal and mature sound, while losing none of their cutting edge appeal.

With a series of Grammy nominations, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, Juno Awards, MuchMusic Video Awards and a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Group, Nickelback certainly don’t lack critical acclaim. The World Music Awards crowned Nickelback The Worlds’ Best Rock Band in 2006.

The band’s sound is hard-rock, somewhere between post-grunge and metal, and though early efforts were met with little success, Nickelback took off in 2002 with “How You Remind Me.” The band got their name thanks to bassist Mike Kroeger’s experience working in a certain coffee shop and repeatedly saying, “Here’s your nickel back” when handing a customer their change.

Rockstars

Their album “All the Right Reasons” spawned a series of chart-topping hits with “Photograph,” “Animals,” Savin’ Me,” “Rock Star,” “Far Away” and “If Everyone Cared” all topping the charts at #1. The band donated all proceeds from their digital single “If Everyone Cared” to Amnesty International and International Childrens’ Awareness Canada.

Their most recent single, “Rockstar” off “All The Right Reasons,” has taken the charts by storm. With a growing list of popular hits, a string of movie soundtrack songs, including “Hero,” featuring Josey Scott of Saliva from Spider-Man and “Too Bad” from The Hills Have Eyes, and hugely popular concert tours, the band from Alberta has settled into success. Their sound and songs are better than ever and they’ve just announced a new tour for September 2008, hitting nine gigs across Germany, Ireland and England.

On the wave of all this success, the band announced a September European tour, including their first show at the O2 Arena in London.

Human Defender Class Build (Tank/PvE/Group PvP)

By Coreys Morehouse

The best tanking class in Rohan Online is most likely going to be the Human Defender. They have a large assortment of defensive buffs and HP. They are very effective in group pvp with the use of their AoE stun (Extinction). But because of the high casting requirements you must make good use of your mana pool and wait for pot cool downs.

Stat build: This build has low strenght compared to other melee types of classes because the points are a higher priority elsewhere. A decent portion of Pyche have been distributed so that you are able to use more spells with the larger mana pool without worrying about being up against that mana cool down. Most of the points are in VIT so that you have some added defense and plenty of hit points to withstand some beating.

PvE: Soloing is pretty easy for a defender as they can take alot of hits and stun mobs. However they lack true firepower to kill them quickly compared to other builds and classes. Defender is intended to shine brightly in party grinding or boss hunting. They have great party buffs and a Healer at their disposal they are very tough to kill. They are one of the top choices for boss hunting parties and high level mob grinding and can make a huge difference in survivability when the party is being mobbed bad. They can use the AoE stun and give the party a breather.

PvP: This build will have a harder time providing the basic fire power to dispatch opponents but they will have a tough time killing you too. With high defense and HP stats you have be tactical in 1v1 pvp. A good trick is to wait till your enemies health bar get a little below half way (if they let it get that far) and then start spamming your stuns on them so they can’t pot. They excel in group PvP though, with great party buffs and AoE stun can leave enemies sitting ducks so that damage dealers can quickly slaughter them.

Conclusion: try to stay in parties as much as you can through party matching so that you don’t have to solo as it isn’t as effective. You won’t have much trouble with that as most parties love tanks and will need you. Your mana pool is something to worry about so you are gonna be going through a ton of pots so that you can keep using those powerful skills.

Still The Champions—Queen + Paul Rodgers: New Album, New Tour

By Rochelle Karina

When rock legends get together, it’s almost always something incredible. And when legends as iconic as Queen and Paul Rodgers get together to form a musical partnership, then take it on tour, it’s even better. Taking it one step further into the realm of rock-fan heaven, that musical partnership has turned into a band of its own—Queen + Paul Rodgers announced a new tour, and a new album full of their own material.

For long-time fans of classic rock, it’s still hard to imagine Queen without Freddie Mercury, but back in late 2004, a collaboration between Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor and Raul Rodgers of Free and Bad Company fame brought crowds to their feet at the UK Music Hall of Fame awards with performances of “We Will Rock You,” “We Are the Champions” and “All Right Now.” The successful chemistry was not lost on the trio of experienced performers and Queen + Paul Rodgers was born.

The “new” group was officially formed and their first public performance together was March 2005, in South Africa, supporting Nelson Mandela’s 46664 AIDS awareness campaign. A tour quickly followed with the rock legends playing 32 sold out dates across Europe and the UK. The 23-date North American tour went on the road in 2006 and the live concert “Return of the Champions” simultaneous CD/DVD release followed soon after. Up until now, they’ve been playing the “classics”—giving fans what they wanted to hear—favourite rock anthems and tunes.

Every now and then, concert fans would get a taste of something different when on tour Queen + Paul Rodgers would treat concertgoers to surprise additions to the set list. Fans in Japan heard “I Was Born to Love You,” while those at the Hyde Park concert heard a cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Perhaps paying tribute to Cream, on reunion tour at the same time in London, Newcastle audiences were treated to “Sunshine of Your Love.” North American dates saw a frequent addition of “Dragon Attack.”

Finally, Queen + Paul Rodgers have recorded an album together—the first new studio album to carry the Queen name since the Freddie Mercury days.

Rockin’ the House

With the new album comes a new tour. Queen + Paul Rodgers are hitting the road for an extensive 28-date tour, taking them to 14 countries in seven weeks, covering Europe and the UK. The album is set to hit stores in September, and the Cosmos Rocks Tour starts 15 September 2008 in Moscow. Queen + Paul Rodgers then heads to Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands before they land in the UK in early October for six dates, including London’s O2 Arena on 13 October. After making the rounds of Nottingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Birmingham and Liverpool the band is off to Serbia, Hungary, Spain and Austria.

Queen + Paul Rodgers concerts feature songs from their new album, of course, but these guys are veteran performers and crowd pleasers. The concert sets will also include material from both Queen and Paul Rodgers history. Sure to be included in the set lists are Queen mega-hits “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “We Are the Champions,” “We Will Rock You” and of course, the classic rock anthem “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Expected Rodgers hits include “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Wishing Well,” “Can’t Get Enough” and “All Right Now.” The new album features all new material by May, Taylor and Rodgers, plus “Say It’s Not True,” previously released at the end of 2007 as a World Aids Day download.

Making the Rounds

The Cosmos Rocks Tour starts at the Moscow SCO Olympic Arena 15th and 16th September, then moves to Berlin, Antwerp, Paris, Rome, Milan and ends September in Zurich. October takes Queen + Paul Rodgers to Munich, Mannheim, Hannover, Hamburg and Rotterdam before landing the band at the Nottingham Trent FM Arena on the 10th. UK dates are:

October

Friday 10th—Nottingham Trent FM Arena

Your Acoustic Guitar

By Fredrik Roaldset

The guitar is possibly the world’s most popular instrument in rock, pop or light western music today. The guitar’s fame is largely owed to Elvis Presley, whose iconic images almost always show him singing with a guitar in his hands. So never mind if your voice doesn’t match Elvis – don’t sing, strum a guitar and make good music!

Acquiring and wrapping your fingers around your own, personal guitar to get its ‘feel’ is always a good idea. We recommend you to go in for a used acoustic guitar. Here’s what, why and how …

Unlike, say, an electric guitar, an acoustic guitar neither needs nor uses any external devices to enhance its sound volume and quality. Remember, guitars are seldom played solo. They’re played along with other, often noisy, instruments. Naturally, if you’re the guitarist you want to be distinctly heard by and be properly audible to the audience. You might not be blasting away like the trumpeter but, nevertheless, you want the melody of the music you’re making to be picked up straight away.

It is to help you fulfill this perfectly legitimate aspiration that we suggest you begin your music-making with not just an acoustic guitar but specifically a used acoustic guitar. Why? Because thanks to its earlier use by another guitarist, whether professional or amateur, the used acoustic guitar is more likely than not to have already ‘found’ its fully formed voice. With the passage of time a wood-based musical instrument like a guitar (or violin, for that matter) sheds the brittleness of its timber and becomes soft and mellowed with the cleaning up and rubbing with oil that comes with its proper maintenance. In a used acoustic guitar somebody else has already done the rubbing up for you! Besides, you’re likely to spend only half the cost of a brand new instrument – so it’s a bargain all the way!

Fine, so where can you find cheap acoustic guitars? To start with, you’ll have to be certain that the acoustic guitar for sale won’t land you conned into buying an instrument you wouldn’t want. Generally, the used guitar could be one of four kinds: old used, new used, refurbished and needs work.

Your best choice would be in finding an old used acoustic guitar for sale that’s ten years old or even older. A new used one would be fewer than five years old. If you’re lucky, you’ll find factory seconds or refurbished guitars on recent models. You must know what you’re buying: Is the neck twisted or bent? Is the neck joint flush to the body of the guitar? (It ought to be so.) Is it plastic or wood? (Wood is definitely better.) Do you have to change the strings? (If so, you can’t test the sound.)

Online, you’ll find great bargains on acoustic guitars for sale of all categories. Look for sellers who have sold acoustic guitars before and have positive feedbacks. So now you know your what, why and how. Happy strumming!

Dinner Party Ideas For Fun and Memories Between Friends

By Jude Wright

There is nothing better than to spend time having dinner with friends. The socializing over dinner and the fun sharing is the way memories are made. For you, coming up with great dinner party ideas is the most fun of all. What kinds of creative dinner party ideas including colorful decorations, meals with a theme, or costumes would you and your friends enjoy. Giving a dinner party for friends and family is one way to let your creativity show through and to feed your craving for cooking wonderful new dishes. Get ready to decorate the house, plan the menu and call your friends for an evening of fun.

Consider some of these dinner party ideas for your own.

1. Why not have the girls over one night and send the boys to a game? While they are being loud and cheering their team on, you and the girls can relive the old times and have yourself a good, old fashioned tea party. Maybe you have a tea set passed down from your grandmother or aunt form long ago. If not, why not find some unique pieces at a thrift store. You need not worry about the sets matching, just make them beautiful. They will only cost you a few dollars each and the girls can take their individual sets home as a moment of a lovely evening between friends. Serve finger sandwiched, tea, and petite desert slices. If you like, have each lady dress up in their favorite old century dress. Vintage clothing stores have things you can buy and you can make a day of it together trying to find your outfit.

2. What about dinner party ideas that allow those friends and acquaintances you have to meet each other for the first time. The best idea is to have what is called a traveling dinner party. Each person begins in a seat of their choice. When each course is served, the guests must get up and move to a new seat sitting beside someone they have not been next to previously. This gives them the opportunity to meet new people in a fun and comfortable way. You can also go the distance and move from house to house in the neighborhood for each course.

3. There is nothing so mice as to have a picnic and this is also one of the simplistic dinner party ideas ever. This is especially nice for those with a big back yard or a great park near your home. The menu is to be light summertime meals including fruits and cold food. Why not dress for the occasion in your favorite Shakespeare garb. Light candles or teak torches to give it a nice and comfortable feeling when the sun goes down.

Now you have some great dinner party ideas to get you started. There is nothing which will be out of line if you and your friends enjoy it. Anything will make for wonderful dinner party ideas to bring you and your friends together once again.

Gas Credit Card 101

By Mario Churchill

If you are always on the go and you find yourself making various purchases, you would definitely want to avail yourself of the benefits of having a gas credit card. A gas credit card is usually properly marketed and packaged, often in the form of having a rebate system for your gas expense each time you use the card. Gas is very expensive and continues to be a need in this system of speedy transportation activities. Until all the other alternative sources we could possibly get for cars are thoroughly exhausted for our benefit, gas remains to be its top source of energy.

A gas credit card offer has a very tricky appeal to it in the sense that it seems to double as a credit card and rebate system for your gas money. You can make various purchases as you always have with a regular credit card, but the difference is that with a gas credit card, you have the bonus feature of gaining a little extra for your gas. Most major gas companies support gas credit cards, but if you really want to make sure you are getting the best out of your gas credit card, check beforehand which companies will support the card company you are about to sign up for. Also, it would help for you to check your frequency of visiting the gas station to determine how much you are really going to save in gas money when you do apply for a gas credit card.

The thing about promotions, not excluding the promotions of a gas credit card offer, is that it is often talking of temporary terms only. This is one of the first things you must check before you sign up for that attractive and one-time gas credit card offer being given you. If anything, there is certainly a cost of maintaining a gas credit card, and you must be amply prepared for it if you want to keep afloat and make sure that you are getting the actual benefits you are expecting from your gas credit card. Easy does it, and do not be easily swayed by marketing pitches that you will have to make the decision instantly. Take an entire day or night to think it over.

A gas credit card offer often exists in various credit card companies. Scour for the tried and tested brands and make sure that you do not settle for anything less. You might not like the term, but you must be able to calculate properly how much you will be getting from a gas credit card in the long run. For instance, you are about to experience gas rebates for only a few months, and then after that, it will function as a regular credit card. You will have to check also for interest rates which can be higher than the amount of gas money you are actually saving.

Getting a gas credit card is not really about getting the best deal, but can also be attained and benefited from successfully with a good strategy and ample knowledge of whatever it is you are signing up for. Rebates from a gas credit card do not usually come automatically to your account. Often, you will have to request for it and follow up on it on a regular basis before you are enabled to acquire it. Being aware of this and other policies which marketers do not often show you when they convince you to sign up may be the very vital things you need before you affix your signature in that application form.

Make Your Home Theater Perfect For Your Home!

By David Faulkner

People are unsure as to which home theater is suitable for their family. A large home theater doesn't necessarily means that it's perfect for one's family. So how does one make out as to which is the perfect one for them? Several companies offer various types of designs suggestion but ultimately it's for you to decide. Only you can decide as to what is the best for you.

Customize your own home theater

You need to buy a home theater which suits your room perfectly. The choice of home theater depends on various things like the size of the room, its color, the furniture and many others. You should purchase the products carefully. Do not go for big equipments if your room is not big enough. You also have to keep in mind the lighting of the room before you decide on the final product. Though companies offer design advice, yet the best option is to do it yourself. That is because no one can understand your requirements the way you will.

While buying a home theater, you need to decide on either of these two; a better sound or a larger picture. Both these things are essential but at the same time very costly. So you need to know your preferences. If you have a big budget, then of course you can go for both of them. However on a restricted budget, you may have to compromise on the size. You can of course get good quality picture as well as sound on a restricted budget too. So be careful and invest wisely. Get the best option available within your budget.

The next important thing is seating arrangement. You need to have a seating arrangement which will go with your home theater. You should never compromise on comfort. That should ideally be your first priority. From loungers to couches, you have many options. Simple seats will cost you less however one needs to remember that it's ultimately all about comfort so don't compromise on it even if it means spending a bit more. You will probably sit on the couches for hours, so don't mind spending more on them.

Have a big budget? Go for interior decorators

You can also get the interior decorators to customize your home theater. However the biggest problem here is the cost. These interior decorators charge a large amount. So you need to have huge budget if you want to avail their services. Designing the home theater on your own still remains the best option. You can do it in your style. You can take suggestions from friends and family members. You can find various tips on customizing your home theater in magazines. You can also search the internet, where loads of information is available. For more info see http://www.1hometheaterreviews.com on Home Theater.

However what matters is that your home theater should match up with you room. There's nothing like watching a movie on your own home theater. It's an ultimate experience. Just make sure that your home theater is customized well. You can do it by yourself or take the help of interior decorators.

Sin City is Even More Fun When Shared

By Maya Bartlett

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? With Sin City being a popular vacation destination as well as the wedding and convention capital, entertainment is big business in a city that literally never sleeps and that has become a Mecca for everything from family fun to very adult entertainment. Whether you’re in Vegas for a weekend convention, just visiting for a vacation, or there for your best friend’s, or your, wedding, the fantasy image of gaming and girls is hard to escape. And why not, you’re in Vegas after all! Contrary to what you may think, Las Vegas escorts are not all about sex. Think of it more like a top notch gentlemen’s club with a personal touch. Many businessmen and convention attendees turn to escort services so they have a beautiful, and intelligent, companion for the evening, or the entire weekend. Why should your only company be other businessmen? Why go to all the shows alone? The entire city is one big never ending show, with hotels becoming more and more extravagant, and where keeping you entertained and happy seems to be the goal.

Why not indulge in a little of that fantasy life, it’s Vegas! What’s in the cards for you? Take a tour of some of the top casinos, and play the odds at some of the biggest and the best along the Strip. Or play a round of golf at one of the many world class courses that dot the city. The city is bursting full of great places to eat, things to do and see and places to go. So, you’re there, you’ve got some free time on your hands, and you’d like to enjoy everything Sin City has to offer. You don’t have to enjoy it alone. That’s what a quality escort service is about, providing discriminating gentlemen an attractive, charming, and pleasant female companion for your personal pleasure. If the game tables aren’t your thing, Vegas isn’t just about gambling. The city has so much more to offer. Take a trip to the Eiffel Tower, without ever leaving Vegas, or enjoy the zero gravity experience of a space flight simulation. And who hasn’t heard of the incomparable Fremont Street Experience. Looking for a bit more adventure? Take a ride on the Big Shot at the Stratosphere, just imagine shooting up 160 feet in only 2.5 seconds. It amounts to about 4Gs of force. Or slow things down and get a little romantic with a gondola ride at the Venetian and experience a little bit of Italy right there in Vegas.

Vegas is the kind of place where you just never want to sleep. There’s too much to do and see! There are nightclubs and bars on every corner. Try the Tequila Bar at Bally’s, or vodka at Red Square at Mandalay Bay. And sure, Vegas is home to all sorts of shows like Cirque du Soleil, Bette Midler and many others, but it’s also host to a variety of more adult themed entertainment like Ooh La La at Paris Las Vegas, Fantasy Topless at Luxor, Jubilee Jubilee at Bally’s and more. Check out the long running Crazy Girls at the Riviera Hotel, and make sure to get a pic of yourself out front. If you’re in a somewhat darker mood, check out Bite at the Stratosphere where you’ll find a combo of classic rock, topless performers and a bit of a nod to the B vampire movies form back in the day wrapped in a story of sin, seduction and sex. When you’re ready for a different kind of bite, skip the standard fare at the generic hotel buffets and head for something different. Try the elegant seafood at Michael Mina, or sample the fare that launched Wolfgang, Puck that is, at Spago. Or take an Eastern turn with the Asian fusion at China Grill.

Alright, so you’ve got a long list of great places to go, things to try and fabulous finds. But you’re still in Vegas alone. Now is the time to call in a Las Vegas Escort. If your image of an “escort” runs to the sleazy, stop right there! Professional escort services are in the business of keeping discriminating gentlemen happy and their employees are going to be attractive young women, who are also gifted in social graces, many are also fluent in foreign languages. You will be sure to enjoy all the offerings of Vegas even more with a beautiful young lady on your arm sharing the experience.

Making Coat Racks - Easy Ways

By Megan Cherry

Making coat racks is not as difficult as it may seem. In fact, you can easily make a coat rack with a couple of pieces of wood, large sized dowel, screws, sandpaper or sander and stain or paint. The first thing to making coat racks is to decide on the size and style. For this example, a children's sized coat rack will be used. You will need a piece of wood, 2x4 or 2x6 at 3-4 feet in length works well for this. Sand the corners and ends and along the length. This will form the center bar. Take two smaller pieces of wood that are the same length and cut one in half, these will be used for the base as found on many coat racks so be sure that the pieces are large enough to support the coat rack. Then use screws to attach the two cut pieces at a 90-degree angle to the uncut piece so you form an X shape.

Once you have this in place you can screw the centerpiece in place to the base. This forms the basic design for these types of coat racks. Next take the dowel or you can use large C hooks if you like and place them where you would like on the center post. You may need to drill holes for this part of the process. Depending on what you are doing, you may want to paint everything prior to final assembly but most people simply paint after everything is assembled, wait for it to dry and it is complete. If a child is working on this project Adult supervision should be employed when making this project.

Wall mounted coat racks are even easier to make. Simply take a flat piece of wood at whatever depth and length you desire. Sand and design the surface as you like. You can leave it plain, bevel the edges, and do carving or even wood burning techniques. These types of coat racks can be designed with a great deal of creativity. You can even cut out themed designs if you desire. Then drill the holes for the pegs or hooks, sand the edges insert your pegs either with glue or screw them in. Then sand any glue or edging that might have been damaged and finish as you desire.

Coat racks that follow the hall tree design are going to take significant work, as they are larger pieces of furniture and usually require a significant amount of specialized tools as well as the room necessary to assemble the various parts as well as the piece itself. It can however be done by purchasing the majority of the pieces separately, finishing them and then assembling them as you like.

Coat racks make great additions to your home and can greatly add to your decorating theme, décor, or even help you to organize various types of things. They are also projects that for the most part can be done with every day household tools. They can be finished any way you like and styled to fit your preference.

6 Easy Steps to Learn Guitar Fast

By Steve Robinson

You can learn the guitar fast if you understand a few easily absorbed steps. Now to be clear becoming expert takes time but you can be quickly enjoying your favorite songs quickly. After all isn't that what we all want to learn to do?

The first step is to check is that the action on your guitar is set properly for you. A good guitar shop will do this for you but if you have purchased a new or used guitar the action may be too high and cause sore fingers and stress in your hands.

**Note - The 'action' is the distance between the underside of the guitar string and the guitar fingerboard. Not having this set properly can result in sore fingers and that will definitely result in less practice and playing.

The second step is to understand that the music is in you and no amount of spending on fancy equipment will overcome what you put in to it. Your effort should be put into technique not the latest equipment. You are the reason your playing works or it does not. A good guitar player can still create great music on inferior equipment. Great equipment can't make a bad player sound good.

The third step is to concentrate on your rhythm. Keep the pace with your foot so that you have a consistent flow in your playing. Spend more time and effort in developing rhythm when playing as that is the most important item when people are listening. Once this becomes second nature then you can start to expand your other techniques.

The fourth step to learning guitar fast is to use simple chords first..If you are trying to master complex chords before you have the rhythm down to being an automatic reflex you will stop the rhythm because you are concentrating so hard on where to place your fingers that you lose the pace.

The fifth step is again to stay with basics in your strumming pattern. This will help you in two ways. You won't lose the rhythm because you are using just a basic strum on the first beat of the measure. You also will begin to memorize the sound of the chord. This will allow you to easily start to play by ear down the line because you will recognize the chord automatically in the songs you are copying.

The final concept to learn to play guitar fast is to stick to two chord songs initially..Again by keeping it simple you build up your confidence and your abilities much more quickly. After all when you were an infant you crawled berfore you walked and you mastered walking before you could run.

Getting up and going when learning guitar fast can be easy and quick but...

Staying to the very basic until they become second nature will allow you to improve your playing much quicker than trying to gather complex items all at once. That tends to teach you bad habits that will be exceedingly hard to correct to get you playing from the beginner level to expert.

About the Author: You can easily learn guitar fast at Play Guitar Song In 1 Day where you will discover the shortcuts to playing today.

Telepathy For Beginners

By Trevor Johnson

Communication through means other than senses bears the name of telepathy. It consists in transmitting and receiving information to and from someone else's mind. We all know from experience that these things do happen. Here is an example of telepathy.

I was planning to go on a trip to a foreign country a few months ago. I ordered my flight ticket and received the flight details with the name of the airport where the plane was due to take off. On the big day, before heading for the airport I checked my flight once more, just to be sure everything was all right, and I was surprised to see that my plane had been directed to another airport in the city.

That came as a shock because I had checked on the previous day and no changes had occurred yet. Fortunately this did not interfere with my plan and everything went smoothly – I got to the airport just in time to catch the plane – but this incident made me take a moment and think more thoroughly of the connections that human mind can establish with other minds. In this case the message may have been sent to me spontaneously by someone who found out of the change before I did or by the airport staff.

This was a typical example of spontaneous telepathy, the kind of connection that is established irrespective of the receiver's or sender's will. However, telepathy can be practised intentionally and the effects are the same. A message reaches the receiver because the sender wants him or her to get it and mentally concentrates on that purpose. This is called deliberate telepathy and there is a very good exercise that beginners may do in order to learn how it works.

Here is a typical telepathy exercise for beginners. Choose someone you feel comfortable with, a very good friend you have a lot in common with. It is easier to send and receive information to and from someone you know well. Your friend should sit in the opposite corner of the room. Grab a pack of cards and start looking at one of them, trying to make your friend 'receive' the image of that very card. Your friend will then write down the impression he or she has got from this attempt of yours. Do the same with another card and so on, till you have 'sent' the images of the whole deck of cards to the receiver. Check your friend's notes to see if he or she has got the right messages. Then reverse roles and be the receiver yourself. In this way you may understand how good you both are as senders and receivers. After practicing this with all the cards twice or three times, you should have a break so as not to get bored. When you have seen some improvement in the quality of the messages sent, you may as well practise this exercise long distance if you and your friend agree to a certain time and each of you tries sending an image for five minutes. Next time you meet, you can compare the results.

Some people are better senders; others can receive messages more easily. There is also a certain number of people who can do both at a very high level. They say 'practice makes perfect' which is fairly true about telepathic exercises as well. The more you practice the more details you are likely to send or receive and in time you will be able to 'manipulate' more complex thoughts between you and your partner.

Music Downloads, New Internet Technologies, And the Future Music Industry

By Aaron Beats

Even though some mainstream artists have recently decided to release their music on LP's, I'm guessing for nostalgia reasons only, they still know that the digital format is what people really want. A few years ago digital music saw a boost in popularity because of a site like Napster. Today, the list of digital music sites is growing, and for good reason. Everybody has a digital music player, also known as an mp3 player. Compact discs are still popular because people like the idea of having something tangible in their hands, probably for the same reasons that we don't yet live in a paperless society. However, music downloads are quickly becoming the popular medium for obtaining music. The process is fast, as in instant. If you pay a fee for it, it's legal, and the best part is, its digital. You get a high sound quality in a small sized file because of the recording format. Although people like sound engineers may or may not be able to tell a difference between an mp3 and a CD file, the average person will never hear the difference.

Sites like MySpace and companies like Apple with iTunes have given bands that might not ever see their music encased in a CD wrapper the chance to showcase their talent via the Internet. Just about every band you can think of has a MySpace page, and if they don't, they could be slightly missing out on the power of the web 2.0 era. The Internet can reach far more people than a tank of gas and a dream. Its smart marketing, at a fairly cheap cost. If you go and see an unknown band perform in a club or bar, chances are they have a MySpace page and, they'll be happy to tell you about it so you'll tell other people too. The Internet can do more for a band who wants you to download songs from their CD than the typical music promotion model. It's the word of mouth activity about an artist that spreads faster than anything.

Major artists rely heavily on marketing and distribution through their major record label to get their music out to the masses. If they are an established artist, their name and music can speak for itself. Independent musicians may have a harder time building a base if they just tour in their hometown or play the occasional state fair. The Internet has changed the way we listen to and buy music. If a band wants to be noticed beyond the zip code they reside in, on a shoestring budget, then they've got to use the Internet to get their music heard by as many people as possible, and build their 'buzz'.

New social music sites such as JamBuzzer help artists not only build their buzz by helping them spread their music virally to potential fans all over the world, but also help fans find quality music that is becoming harder to find in the major industry roster of artists.

Many independent artists and bands are self-produced and self-funded, so they rely completely on their talent, and their knowledge of the Internet to be heard. The great thing about sitest like JamBuzzer and MySpace is that an artist can release individual singles or a few songs from their CD for you to listen to; and get feedback quickly as well as have the potential to build an army of fans who will tell others about their music. It is similar to the days when cassette singles were popular. If you liked the one song that was offered, you might go buy the rest of the album. The same strategy applies today with music downloads; give the potential fans a teaser, let them hear it for free so maybe they'll like it and buy the whole collection. It's a gamble that's paying off for some artists, and the future of the music business could potentially be one where artists make more money by giving their songs away fro free than by the standard model. This new model however, will take strategic planning, and although it's a risk, the potential reward is quite high.

In today's digital music world, downloaded songs are a great indication to an artist that their music is popular. Some tracking tools can even show where the majority of their songs are being downloaded, as well as from what cities. This gives the artist a chance to possibly tour that area and promote their music live, and even sell merchandise. Newer bands that just don't have the money to pay for a tour realize that the internet is the best vehicle they have to get their music heard locally as well as around the world.

Truly, music downloads have changed the way music is heard, so much that it is creating a stir to the 'elephant in the room' major record companies.. Many of the major labels are fighting the digital age because the old way of doing things allowed them more control over an artist.. Today's up and coming artists have the ability to do what they want, on their own terms. Self-produced free agents of music are revolutionizing the way you hear about a new artist. Because the major labels are losing the creative control in the industry, the artists have more freedom to really express their talents without being 'too risky' for the labels. As a result, it's possible that in the years to come, we will get better, true music, and there may even be a battle of the Internet bands with all of the new technologies that sites such as JamBuzzer are developing.

About the Author: Aaron B is a full-time music producer and CEO of JamBuzzer.com, where new artists and and fans get connected through music downloads and 'buzzes', and AaronBeats.com, where urban artists can get rap beats and r&b instrumentals.

It could also be that you are too young to legally gamble and are just looking for a fun game. Hey maybe you’ll be the Tiger Woods of roulette.

When you play free online roulette you won’t be greeted with amazing graphics like you would on a PS3 or commercial PC game, but the basics are still there and it is just as enjoyable. Why waste the time paying for some state of the art simulation when all you really want to do is play roulette?

Before you go online and play there are still some things you should probably know, in order to make the process run as smoothly as possible.

Firstly you need to install all the appropriate software. Some sites try and make you download irrelevant applications to make money through spyware, so make sure you only install reputable programs like Java or Flash. These are the most common platforms for online games and they often won’t load without them.

Unless there is some added twist, free online roulette games generally play in the exact same way as their real life counterpart in terms of rules. Controls may vary, but there will usually be an icon to press in order to select the chip size and then the ability to click the area on the board you’d like to bet on. You will then have to click on something to make it spin and a small animation or sound will play to indicate spinning.

Free online roulette is not the only kind of casino game available; most sites have loads of different ones to choose, from slots to poker. And if the website isn’t casino specific there will probably be hundreds of other non gambling style games as well.

You may also be aware that there are also hundreds of casino and gambling websites that allow you to play with real money in a similar fashion to the free versions, although it is easy to fall in to the trap of spending beyond your means because of the simple and impersonal environment.

Five Tips For Writing or Evaluating Better Video Scripts

By Brien Lee

Video scriptwriting provides the action plan for video production, Particularly in the corporate world, where words need to be approved before production.

I have developed five steps to making sure my scripts help production people create best videos possible— ones that work as multimedia devices, take advantage of the medium, and motivate much the same way as a great movie or TV show.

1. You’re not on TV. And you are not the star. The least impressive form or video communications is the talking stand-up reporter approach. The writer or producer decides it would be fun to pretend they’re on 60 Minutes or CNN, hires a good voice or a pretty face to wear a trench-coat and business suit, and then proceeds to put words in their mouth telling us how great the product or company is.

How would THEY know?

Authority is important in any sale or marketing video, but authority comes from product features, end users, or company experts— not a can of hair spray. He or she might be cute, and might be the next Deborah Norville. They just don't belong in your video.

In addition, it’s cheating. For every second they’re standing there telling us about something, we could be seeing it, hearing it, experiencing it. And the production dollars saved? Enormous. But you’re cheating the audience and the audience knows it.

2. Words only when necessary. It’s easy to write a script. Go to Word, or Pages, or some other software and create two parallel columns. At the top of one type “Audio”. On the top of the other type “Video.”

See? Two elements— what’s seen and what’s heard.

Most often, we will begin writing with what’s heard, because that’s how we think it through. But why start with words? Why not start with a visual? Music? Sound Effect?

I remember a piece we did years and years ago.

It started with a sunrise, the chirping of birds, the sounds of turbines starting, and a loading dock door being opened. That took about 15 seconds. If we had used words to paint that picture, it would have taken perhaps a minute.

But now, all the announcer had to say was…..

“Dawn. At Leeson Motors.”

And the audience knew that this company takes the workday seriously, they have a large plant (exterior shot of the sunrise had the plant in the foreground, a fleet of trucks, and a zest for life.

Contrast that with just showing the logo and hearing an announcer say,

“Every Morning at Leeson Motors in Waukeegee, Ohio, we get to work early and appreciate the sunrise, see the dew on the grass, hear the birds, fire up the engines, open our doors, begin the shipping process, and thank the almighty that it didn’t rain today.”

In short, words only when necessary.

3. Write for the Ear. When words ARE necessary, write like you talk. No not those words. What I mean is, write conversationally. As we pointed out, words take time. And people don’t speak in complete sentences.

I remember writing a commercial that was a take off on the old cop show “Dragnet”.

My first draft began….

Offscreen VOICE OF FRANK: This is the city, Los Angeles, California. A nice place, at least most of the time. But on this day, on a routine patrol, my partner Frank and I spotted a suspicious character, his arms filled with loot. Books, records, painting… it had to be a break in.

We got out of the car and I said….

FRANK (ONSCREEN): Hold it Mister, what have you got?”

There was just one problem with all this— the commercial was thirty seconds, and I had just eaten up all thirty seconds uses words to paint the scene.

After a short confab with one of my business partners, also a writer, we revised it thusly:

OFFSCREEN VOICE OF FRANK: The city. We spotted him. Books, records…. Had to be a break-in.”

FRANK, now on screen: Hold it Mister, What have you got?”

The visuals, clearly called out in the VIDEO column, told the rest of the story nicely:

Establishing Shot City

Frank and Partner in police car

Suspicious person walking down what might be a brick alley with arms loaded with Library items

Cut to Joe and Frank (head and shoulders) , with red light pulsing in background

FRANK, now on screen: Hold it Mister, What have you got?”

If you’d like to see a sample of the (ancient) Dragnet TV spot to see how sounds and visuals painted the picture, go to http://vimeo.com/1627426.

4. Give the audience a break. Every so often, take a breather. Run a short sequence of music and pictures, so they can catch up and absorb what you’ve thrown at them. This gets more complicated, but audiences can only handle so much, and if you distract them or wear them down, they won;t retain what your asking them to, or they might even rebel and turn their minds off.

5. End Big. This doesn’t mean World War II with the original cast, but it does mean to give your audience signposts so they know where they’re at in your video. I always use music to change the pace, but toward the ending, you need a finale, and finales don’t fade, they echo. A recap tells them its over, and a musical crescendo tells them it’s over. Music that ends in “threes”— restating the musical theme line three times— is pretty much a ta-da! Never leave them hanging, but always finish big, and finish before they’re bored. A good example is this opener produced for Underwriters’ Laboratories 100th Anniversary. Note the ending of the music— it uses a “triple”— this builds emotion and sends the signal to anticipate what comes next, while indicating the this part of the meeting— the opening video— is over. To view this sample, go to http://vimeo.com/452012.

Scriptwriting is the backbone of the successful multimedia project. Knowing that words are only part of the equation will help you write or review scripts on a much higher level.

Winning Roulette Systems - Have You Tried the Banned Roulette System?

By Evan Kingsley

Traditional offline casinos have largely been replaced by the rapid growth of online casinos. Thousands of new players are taking to the casinos to try their luck at winning from the comfort of their own home. Playing any kind of gambling game online has many benefits over an offline casino, although the thrill and excitement is rarely captured by a software program.

Features such as the huge variety of games at your fingertips have made online casinos hugely popular in the last decade or so. The main games such as poker, blackjack and roulette have increased dramatically in popularity.

Roulette is a game that can be particularly good to play online since you can use specific systems to increase your chances of winning - and you can do so quite dramatically.

One such system is so effective that it has effectively been banned from real world casinos i.e. if you get caught using it, you'll be politely (or maybe not so politely) asked to leave.

In an online casino, you are in a perfect position to exploit this system since you can never be manhandled out the door by a burly bouncer. The banned roulette system can be so powerful (when used correctly) that it can have a 99.4% success rate.

While you cannot guarantee winning at every single spin of the roulette wheel, you can take certain steps to improve your odds based on the probabilities of certain events at the table. It does take some patience but using this system can almost guarantee success most of the time.

One of the problems with many people when gambling is that they become too emotional so a winning roulette system quickly becomes a losing system as they try to get greedy and win even more money in a shorter amount of time. The key is to stick to the system and not to deviate from it. It's based on strict mathematics (but thankfully it's very easy to follow) and in it's simplest form you only need to be able to count how many times either a red or a black number has appeared in a row.

Once you find a sequence of reds have come up, then you place a certain amount on the black spot. The amount depends on the number of reds that have appeared in a row. The idea is that you make lots of small winnings on predictable outcomes rather than trying to go for that one big win that will certainly never appear - at least not before you've lost a large portion of your bankroll.

That's the power of this roulette system - by taking many small victories over the casinos you can come away most of the time with a winning streak. In many cases it's easy to win $100 or more an hour, quite predictably and reliably. Once you get used to using the system it's also possible to bet a little more aggressively for even bigger winnings.

Some people think that if everyone starts using this, then the casinos will become aware of it. The fact is, there are millions of people worldwide who gamble every day online. Only a fraction of those will ever use a winning roulette system like this. Chances are you will never be "found out". The best part is, in the unlikely event that anything does ever happen, you can just move to another casino. (And yes there are casinos who accept US players despite what you think)

Playing Games: What John Nash Was Actually Famous For

By Ann Knapp

As Chariots Of Fire did for Eric Liddell and Braveheart did for William Wallace, the 2002 film A Beautiful Mind made mathematician John Forbes Nash a household name - without necessarily rendering his life, or his work, much better-understood. Audiences and critics welcomed the movie - it won a 2004 Academy Award - but enthusiasts of Nash's work insist that even bigger rewards await those who study Nash's real-life work, and the esoteric discipline, game theory, in which he made his name.

Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, in 1928, Nash was already carrying out bedroom scientific experiments at the age of twelve. He didn't excel in sports or other stereotypically youthful pursuits, instead fixing on E.T. Bell's book Men of Mathematics with the same intensity that a young would-be guitarist might bring to, say, Led Zeppelin IV. While still in high school, he took college-level math classes, and a Westinghouse scholarship to the Carnegie Institute of Technology (a school known, and revered, today as Carnegie Mellon) seemed to confirm his vocation as a mathematician - a vocation only confirmed when Princeton aggressively recruited him to its Ph.D. program in mathematics. He finished his doctorate in 1950.

Much of his important early work - including the three scholarly articles that defined and explained the tendency that came to be known as "Nash equilibrium" and which (many years later) helped secure him a 1994 Nobel Prize - had to do with game theory, a branch of mathematics that analyzes the ways people interact. Game theorists construct equations that reflect peoples' assumed motives in entering a situation, and then analyze the range of possible actions they may take. They use mathematical modeling to determine what the actual outcomes of the situation, then, will be.

A logical puzzler known as the Prisoner's Dilemma offers a good quick example of how basic game theory works. Imagine two prisoners caught near the scene of a burglary and hauled in by the police. The cops know that they've found their suspects, but they can't get either person to admit guilt, so they offer each man a deal. As Michael A.M. Lerner, writing in Good Magazine, describes it: "If they both confess and cooperate, they'll both get a minor sentence of five years. If neither man confesses, they'll both only get one year - But, and here's where it gets interesting, if one confesses and the other doesn't, the one who confesses walks out scot-free while the other will do 10 years. What will they do? Will they trust each other and do what's obviously in their best interest, which is not confess?" Game theorists assume that each person in this dilemma is out for themselves; assigning values accordingly, they come up with equations that predict the two burglars will betray each other - even though it makes more sense to cooperate.

It may sound crazy - how on earth can something that seems as cut-and-dry as math make successful, predictive models of how humans will behave in a real-world situation? But mathematicians, economists and political scientists have used game theory to yield some startlingly accurate predictions. Game theorist Benito de Mesquita used his own equations to predict the Ayatollah Khomeini's successor, in 1984; when his answer proved, several years later, to be correct, it launched a career that now includes a rich consulting firm and several Pentagon collaborations. Game theory may not be uncontroversial, but it does look to be here to stay.

Nash's own most famous work has to do with the way we can assume people will behave in certain "non-cooperative" games, i.e. situations in which people compete against each other. He showed, in general, that there are limits on the degree of success that can be achieved by people in competition against each other - that, contra Adam Smith (the father of modern economics), some kinds of competition tend to reduce the amount of good stuff available for everyone (rather than making the total size of the pot bigger, as Smith is usually assumed to have taught). This is the insight for which - decades later, after his protracted struggle with schizophrenia, and along with Reinhard Selten and John Harsanyi - he won the Nobel Prize. It may not be as photogenic as Russell Crowe (who played Nash in the movie), but it's - who knows? - probably more relevant to your life.
