Hurricane - The Ugliest Word Known To Man Has Finally Met Its Match.

By Glen B. Stewart

Hurricane. That was that once the most frightening word in the entire English language. Now hurricanes may be a force of nature that mankind has finally come to terms with. This is thanks in no small way to a gifted researcher and visionary Glen B. Stewart.

The last three years has changed the way planet Earth prepares for a potentially deadly hurricane. Today mankind has a far better plan indeed. Instead of mass evacuations of hundreds of thousands of people like disasters of old. Now with Glen B. Stewart offering hurricane reduction training, we can now prepare for a severe thunderstorm instead of a deadly hurricane.

How is this even possible? Glen studied martial arts from throughout the world since he was a teenager. Joining his lifelong studies you notice that all of the martial arts contained very special mental attribute. That one thing in common was that they all contain mind over matter training. This is used initially during times of war to mentally prepare a student to ignore pain and considerable hardship.

Glenn also studied holistic medicine in nearly 1980s. Seeing the need for natural healing worldwide he became a leading holistic health researcher. The long hours and years of perseverance has gifted him with many unique and rewarding the natural health insights.

Yoga and many forms of mind, body and spirit practices were a natural extension to his work. Yoga initially was explored because of its wonderful toning effects on human body. But like Glenís martial arts training, he soon discovered that the value of yoga practice was far more than a physically fit body.

Meditation was also a key factor in both holistic health and later to preform hurricane reductions. He studied meditation from many different cultures throughout the world. The one thing they had in common was that properly done, meditation also allowed a spiritual connection to the divine. This will play a key role in his hurricane reduction research as you will soon see.

The law of attraction was also an interesting principle to Glen. This last one was a grand opening of an old revelation. Before this concept was known as the law of attraction and society it was called spreading good karma throughout the world. Also popular saying was what goes around comes around. The law of attraction redefined and put into words what we should already be treating each other. The law of attraction also reintroduces the concept of positive manifestation.

Then a fateful moment in Glenís life revealed itself. A friend of several years to Glen at the time sent him a now legendary email.

Help me stop Rita. Was Dr. Joe Vitaleís emotional email plea to me. Joe went on to describe the mass evacuation of the city due to hurricane Rita. Rita was a deadly category five hurricane. The category five rating means that Reno was packing sustained winds of over 165 miles an hour.

Joe mentioned in this now fateful email that he was frustrated with everybody running for their lives. Joe wanted myself and others to manifest peaceful intentions towards the hysterical crowd. He pointed out that there were 19 scientific studies proving that group manifestation really works. Because when people focus a positive intention toward something good results can happen.

Glen B. Stewart read Dr. Joe Vitaleís e-mail with a decidedly deeper purpose. He envisioned the possibility of manifesting a reduction of hurricane Rita instead. The results? Glen reduced Hurricane Rita to a category five status to a category one hurricane in less than 24 hours.

Glen had successfully preformed nine additional hurricane reductions in the past three years. This is in addition to the numerous severe thunderstorms and he is helped reduce as well. This has earned them the global title father of hurricane reduction. Amen to that.

Hurricane Season - Is Your Family Fully Prepared For 2008?

By Glen B. Stewart

Its hurricane season again. The past three years have been markedly forgiving to the North American shores. This is despite the fact that there have been numerous severe offshore hurricanes threatening us. Including several category five hurricanes, the worst and most deadliest of all.

So what's the catch? How did North American get so unbelievably lucky the past three years regarding deadly hurricanes? That answer may shock and surprise you in the best possible way. Because the very gifted researcher, Glen B. Stewart has discovered a way to reduce the daily forces of a hurricane. In fact he is not using only the powers of his mind.

Glen has in fact had 10 successful hurricane reductions in a row to his credit. Along with numerous severe thunderstorm reductions. Hurricane Rita was Glens first experiment with manifesting a hurricane reduction. Rita was a category five hurricane bearing down on Houston, Texas.

Glen credits Dr. Joe Vitale of The Secret fame with an indirect inspiration to even attempt it in the first place. Help me stop Rita was Joeís emotional plea to me. Upon experiencing hundreds of thousands of people clamoring to leave the area left Joe Vitale frustrated. He hated to see so many people running around like chickens without their heads feeling totally helpless. Joe asked myself and some others to send peaceful intentions to the affected cities.

As it turns out, I remembered a book of Dr. Joe Vitaleís citing 19 separate scientific studies with a remarkable finding. These separate studies provide substantial proof when a group of trained people meditate together. When these groups meditated with positive focused intention towards reducing a city crime rate for example the results were dramatic.

With Joe Vitale's e-mail and combined with the premise of manifestation towards improving a desired cause, Glen B. Stewart went for it with all his heart and soul. In 24 hours later he was gloriously stunned himself with the results. He had played a critical role in saving tens of thousands of lives and lessening the hurricanes severity. Glen in fact reduced hurricane Rita from a deadly category five hurricane to a category one hurricane.

Glen attributes God for the ability to positively affect and in this case save thousands of lives. Yes his extensive mind over matter training from martial arts and his yoga and meditation abilities were a clear advantage. Connecting to the divine with these other abilities was clearly the deciding factor.

Being labeled the father of national hurricane reduction was quite a huge hat to wear for Glen at first. For the last person to allegedly have these sacred abilities was Jesus Christ. Quite a gift from God one would undoubtedly say. Since then Glen has accepted a pastors ordaining from the Universalist Church. Instead of formally representing the church, Glen prefers to reach out to people in everyday life. And he brings with him extraordinary insights from the divine. This is one way that I give back what God has gifted me Glen says.

Can anyone learn hurricane reduction training? Yes Glen says. 100% Belief that you can is the single largest factor besides the extensive training now made available to the world by Glen. This remarkable, evolutionary training is called the One With The Winds workshop.

The One With The Winds workshop is a one-year online learning experience. Instead of charging the $1197.00 fee up front however Glenn chose to make it affordable for his many families as possible globally. With this in mind and family can pay only $97 a month to train the entire family advanced lifesaving hurricane reduction.

Hurricane season 2008 will come and go either way. Whether or not homes are destroyed and lives are lost is now up to us as humans on earth. Provided Glen has enough trained students and enough warning ahead of time ñ The days of the deadly hurricane striking land are no more. Thank God. And Glen B. Stewart.

7 Critical Keys For Success, Part 5

By David Panarese

Are you in the same old place? Are you looking to have a break out year? Looking to take charge of your life? Many people start off their Networking business with great hopes but no idea what it takes to make it successful. One must understand this simple but hard truth. We are where we are in life due to the way we think and the actions we take. If you are not in the place you want to be then we MUST change our thinking and actions. If you always do what you have always done you will always have what you had (author unknown). Learning to master these 7 critical areas will help you avoid the pitfalls that derail most people.

5. Managing Fear

I don't know of any area that might be more challenging for most of us. Highly successful people are always challenging themselves and operating out of their comfort zones. Your comfort zone got you where you are today, so if you want to expand where your at you will need to expand your comfort zone. When we try to overcome our fears by common sense and logic we usually experience limited success. Anytime the left brain (the logical side) and the right brain (the creative or imaginative side) try battle it out the right brain usually is the victor. How many times can we recall making something so big in our minds that we did anything to avoid approaching it. How about when we finally faced it? Did it turn out much easier than we expected? There is an old adage that says "action cures fear" and it is true. Action does cure fear, and the more you do something the easier and easier it gets. That is fine if we can get ourselves to that point, but that is exactly the problem- how do we get ourselves to take action? Now that question is not so easily answered, and once again I can easily write a book about this one point. Fear has many heads, it shows itself in many forms. See if you recognize any of these- procrastination, avoidance, lack of motivation, laziness, unorganized, perfectionism, not the right time, not enough knowledge, etc. These are all signs of fear, can you identify what you typically do? Anytime we try to expand ourself we increase the interaction between ourselves and others, and as we express our values and beliefs we open the door for others to reject these. So as we grow we are always going to experience feelings outside of our present comfort zone. The first thing one has to accept is that it goes with the territory, learn to embrace it.

So lets try to tackle this issue in way that we can see measurable results without writing a whole book. There are only two natural fears that we are born with, the fear of falling, and the fear of loud noises (there is some debate as to whether these are fears or reflexes). All other fears are learned. As we grew up we learned to associate feelings, emotions, and actions to certain situations. The event in itself does not have meaning we assigned it meaning; when a,b,or c happens we determined that we feel x, y or z. This could be emotional pain, physical pain, or perceived pain. It can come from a personal experience or something we witnessed happen to another person. It all comes down to how we associate the event to the outcome in our minds. We are constantly linking things and events together. We link these events together with pictures, self talk, emotions, sounds and smells. One of the first things is to realize how you associate these events together. For most people the primary method is self talk, or pictures though we are always using a combination to some degree. Self talk can be so powerful that almost everyone I mentor discovers they use this at some level. Many people have a small voice speaking to them all the time and they don't even recognize it on a conscious level. So what we need to do is to rewire our brain and give new meaning(s) to the associations that are holding us back. This is definitely going to take some very quiet time with self reflection and self examination.

Learning to do this is actually quite easy, it is more of just becoming aware of your thoughts- the sounds, pictures, or feelings running through our mind. What is the primary mode that you use? Mine is definitely self talk, but pictures are also very powerful for me. Now think of things that make you uncomfortable, or fearful. Maybe it could be something like cold calling someone on the phone you do not know. When you recreate this in your mind, what is going on? What pictures do you see? What sounds do you hear? What emotions are you experiencing? In what parts of your body? I discovered that when I get nervous I tighten up in my chest and have very shallow breathing. Just focusing on relaxing that spot and breathing deeply helped me a great deal. At first it took a little effort, now when that recognize that feeling, I can say to myself 3, 2, 1 and it is gone. It will become that fast and easy! I started by picturing the phone in my hand while sitting on a beach in a tropical setting. I experienced it to the maximum, I could see the beach, feel the sand between my toes, feel the sun and breeze against my body, hear the sound of children playing, and the lapping of the surf on the beach and embraced the total relaxation I felt. I used self talk to congratulate myself on taking action, using positive affirmations. I then did the opposite- I pictured all the pain I could think with not making the call. I pictured myself working to I was old, fat, tired, hopeless, and alone. Pain and pleasure are the two greatest motivators we have, use both to your advantage. I do this when I am using steps 3 & 4, this is why putting up pictures and sayings are important. When I use my quiet time in the morning going over what I must accomplish for the day is when I use the exercise of closing my eyes and creating positive pictures, emotions, and self talk. I imagine just how I want that particular event to go, and see it with a positive outcome. I then do this for all my important daily events, weekly events, and life purpose. This will take less time than you expect and you will be empowered to take on the day and its challenges. I also do this just before I take action on the event. Doing this daily will lay the foundation for your subconscious mind to attract the outcomes you desire, and help you overcome your greatest fears.

1. Learn to become aware of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, self talk, etc.

2. Identify the areas that cause you the greatest tension, fear, anxiety

3. Identify what your primary mode for handling fear, like perfectionism, lack of motivation, etc

4. Get pictures, quotes and anything that has meaning hanging up where you see it everyday

5. Spend some of the quiet time in step 4, going through your daily challenges

6. Now attach positive images, sounds, pictures, emotions to the event (see a positive outcome)

7. Attach negative images, sounds, pictures, emotions if you don't take action

8. Do this for your main daily goals, weekly goals, and your ultimate lifestyle

Bottom line is this-YOUR DREAMS AND GOALS HAVE TO BE BIGGER THAN YOUR fears. Which ever one you feed the most will drive you; do you want to be driven by your fears or your dreams? Remember doing what you have always done will give you what you have always had. Doing the work will pay dividends!

Top Stress Management Tips For The Workplace

By Ronnie Nijmeh

When most people think of workplace stress tips, they likely think of how they can reduce their own stress. They may think of such techniques as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or exercise. But did you know that not only does your stress affect you, it affects everyone around you as well? Not only that, but the stress of others can affect you, no matter how much time you spend developing your own methods for reducing stress.

Worse yet, when you are dealing with your own stress or the stress of others, it affects not only your time at work, but also your time with your family and friends.

And once work stress spills over into your personal life, it becomes a major sore spot in your life.

For these reasons, learning stress management tips in the workplace will help you both personally and professionally, but you'll also help others to feel better at work and at home, too!

You really can avoid stress in your own life by implementing stress management tips for the workplace, and you will be happier and less stressed, no matter where you are.

How to Get through Your Work Day Without a Breakdown

One of the best workplace stress tips is to set up frequent meetings with your coworkers, so that you can express concerns you have about your workload, or about the volume of tasks that you are expected to complete. Too many of us quietly shoulder all of the tasks that are heaped upon us, without taking the time to express our frustrations to bosses and coworkers. This can lead to feelings of resentment, since keeping quiet about your concerns can make you feel isolated. Well I have news for you. You're not the only person capable who should carry the entire heavy workload!

Take the time to listen to your coworkers without judging them. Giving yourself the opportunity to know what each of your coworkers are dealing with - and letting them know the things that stress you out - will help foster an environment of teamwork and shared responsibility, where no one person is expected to bear a disproportionate amount of the workload.

Another simple stress management tip for the workplace is to organize workplace group outings, where you and your coworkers can connect on a personal level, and leave work behind for an hour or two. This will help you understand your coworkers as human beings, rather than just people that are getting in the way of your ability to accomplish your assigned tasks.

These workplace stress tips will help your coworkers too, because they will give them the ability to voice their own frustrations and concerns in a safe and non-judgmental setting. Letting them get to know you as a person will also make them less likely to take out their frustrations on you, because they will understand that you experience workplace stress just like everyone else.

You really can effectively manage stress both at the office and at home by implementing the wealth of information about reducing stress so you can get more done in less time, and feel better all day long.

7 Critical Keys to Success, Part 4

By David Panarese

Are you in the same old place? Are you looking to have a break out year? Looking to take charge of your life? Many people start off their Networking business with great hopes but no idea what it takes to make it successful. One must understand this simple but hard truth. We are where we are in life due to the way we think and the actions we take. If you are not in the place you want to be then we MUST change our thinking and actions. We must learn to develop daily successful habits that will set us apart, especially the area of fear.

4. Preparation and Focus

I am becoming more and more convinced that this is one of the biggest reasons why most people never experience that breakthrough experience they so desperately seek. Generally speaking people do not understanding that it is the little daily success tasks that set winners apart. I know this personally- this is one of the last steps that I was able to overcome (of course there are always areas that we all are working to improve on). Something inside kept telling me that it was not that important, and that I will get around to it. It literally took me years to grasp the importance of this, and it held me back for a long long time. I have witnessed so many people who wanted to move forward in life, but they were just unable break out of their routine and get focused on what really counted. Don't misunderstand me, I am not saying money is everything, but being broke isn't so cool either. I simply got tired of the lack of money being the root of so many life decisions. If you can grasp the truth of this quote to the core level, it will change your life: "If you do what you have always done, you will always have what you always had" (author unknown). You are where you are in life due to the decisions and actions you take on a daily basis. Your thoughts, speech and actions, all affect this, consciously and unconsciously. If you can't change or you are unwilling to change then don't expect different results. If you want different results you MUST take different actions. If you think you don't need to do this, then ask yourself this; why does every success seminar, book, CD, program or whatever teach it? Why does every success coach or person incorporate this into their life each and every day? Successful people are highly organized and very disciplined to plan out their strategies daily. Accomplishing success to a high level in anything takes mastering the basics. Preparation and focus are some of the core foundational basics to success- so much so you will not succeed without it!

So set your day up to succeed from the beginning. Can you possibly get up an hour early? Alright I heard that, how about half hour? How about 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night? Here is a daily routine that I use that sets me up to win every day. Put your shoes by your bed so you literally step out of bed into your shoes. At least 20 minutes exercise, go for walk, run, ride, swim or whatever. Listen to upbeat music to get you going. Spend 15 minutes on something spiritual, whatever you believe. You can read the bible, meditate, or pray. You can also multi task and do this while you exercise! I then spend 15 minutes on going over the steps in this program. I read my purpose statement every day, read many of the quotes and sayings that I have hanging up, and I spend time visualizing my dreams and goals. Make your visualizations as real as possible with sounds, smells and pictures and try to visualize them in the present tense. Then I spend 15 minutes going over the main goals of the day, and the things I have to do. Make sure you are scheduling time every day for the things that will bring you closer to the success you seek. So many of us fill our days with things that do not really matter, then if we have time later we plan to work on the things that will bring us what we truly seek. We both know that time rarely happens, and most people find themselves in the same spot or worse off 5 years later. Now visualize how you want your daily goals to go. If you get into this habit you will find you become very excited about this time for yourself, and that it sets up your day for success in a dynamic powerful way. Get excited, get enthusiastic and go have some fun!

Anxiety Treatment - 5 Effective Strategies To Decrease Anxiety

By Tamas Gloetzer

Number 1: Face your fears. The most common mistake that people make in coping with their anxiety is to avoid whatever situation triggers their anxiety. Although you may feel immediate, intense relief whenever you avoid an anxiety-provoking situation, the long-term effect is actually to worsen your anxiety. Avoidance makes it extremely unlikely that your anxiety will ever decrease as long as you continue to avoid the situation.

Number 2: Be in tune with your level of anxiety. Try to catch your anxiety as soon as it starts. You will have a much easier path to feeling better when you intervene at the earliest possible point. For example, at the moment that you find yourself feeling a little bit tense or anxious, see Numbers 3 through 5 below.

Number 3: Know what helps you to relax. Make a list of enjoyable and relaxing activities. The list should be what YOU enjoy and find relaxing. There are endless options - take a walk, listen to music, take a warm shower, sit with your pet, imagine yourself on a warm beach...

Number 4: Regularly practice something on your list. Even if you are not feeling intensely anxious at a particular moment, you can help reduce your overall anxiety level by regularly engaging in enjoyable activities (not a bad assignment for homework, right?). Plus, the more comfortable you are with taking time to relax, the more likely you are to actually use your relaxing activities at a time when you feel anxious.

Number 5: Consider learning relaxation techniques. There are many options for relaxation techniques. The key is to do a little research online or at the bookstore. Find a technique that appeals to you. Some types of relaxation include, diaphragmatic breathing (or deep-breathing), meditation, progressive muscle relaxation, and body scanning. Diaphragmatic breathing is one of the simplest techniques that can be used whenever you feel anxious. Remember, like #4 above, you need to practice to make this effective!

Common mistakes:

· Avoiding everything that makes you anxious. For example, think of when you learned to ride a bike. You were probably afraid the first time, but your fear gradually decreased until you mastered it! If you never tried to ride a bike, then you would still be afraid to ride it today and probably more afraid than you were initially. The same strategy applies with anxiety. With each time you face something that makes you anxious - even just a little bit anxious - your overall anxiety will decrease.

· Waiting until you're anxious before you try to relax. Rather, you should practice relaxing while you are relaxed. Relaxing needs to be a skill that you master before you apply it to your anxiety (would you learn to ride a bike on a narrow, bumpy sidewalk?).

If you do not know what is making you feel anxious or cannot imagine facing anything that makes you anxious, then your best option is to consider seeing a mental health professional who will help you work through your anxiety.

How To Use Office Stress Management Techniques To Succeed In Your Career

By Ronnie Nijmeh

Office stress management techniques can be extremely valuable for handling those pesky little issues that come up in your office. You really can cope with office stress without losing your steam or losing sleep every night!

The most common types of stress that affects us today is office related stresses. Millions of people deal with tight deadlines, office politics, and dreary working environments every day, yet very few know how to use techniques to manage work stress so they can be happier while on the job.

One of the most effective techniques to manage office stress is to avoid office politics whenever possible. Politics tend to be a drain on your personal productivity and outlook.

Of course, there are times when office politics will be inevitable - no office environment is immune to the influence of politics - but you can avoid a great deal of this by resolving not to participate in conversations that involve complaining about a coworker or speculating about a fellow employee's personal life, ethics, or motivations. You'd be surprised at how easily you can avoid office stress by carefully removing yourself from these conversations with a simple, "I really don't know enough about that person to comment."

Letting Go of Stress for a Happier Workday

Other office stress management techniques include delegating tasks when you have an intense workload. It can be very easy to slip into the mindset of "I can handle everything myself," but this mindset will only lead to feelings of being overwhelmed, and of doing far more than your coworkers. Don't be afraid to ask your colleagues for help when you are overloaded - it will not only help you feel less stressed, but it will also help build a better team environment where each employee feels valued and important.

If you have a boss that is difficult or complains incessantly about every decision you make, one of the most effective techniques to manage office stress is to recommend periodic staff meetings with your boss. This will allow your boss to feel like his or her opinions are being heard and appreciated, while giving your boss the opportunity to know just how many tasks you have on your list. When your boss understands how much work you are handling, he or she will be less inclined to add to your stress by complaining or making your job more difficult.

When you encounter office situations that are beyond your control, you can use subtle office stress management techniques to help you get through your day, while feeling better and working more efficiently. For example, keeping a pair of Chinese stress balls or a squeeze stress ball at your desk gives you quick access to stress relief without attracting the attention of coworkers or bosses. You can slowly rotate the stress balls in your palm while you are reading office memos or reviewing your task list - this simple hand exercise provides a soothing effect that will help curb anxiety and frustration, so you can move through your day with greater efficiency.

You really can learn simple office stress management techniques to help you feel better and get more done during your working hours.

Free Hypnosis Script: Pain Management

By Melissa Tiers

In my NGH certified hypnosis training courses in New York, I discourage students from using scripts that might distract their attention from their clients and their clients’ responses. However, I do encourage them to pull ideas from them. This script covers most of the different representational systems, so feel free to use the pieces that will work for your individual client's preferences.

There are many ways to feel even more comfortable, more relaxed and free of any discomfort. I will give you a lot of different ways to feel better, to change and make more comfortable the places in your body that had pain. The latest research has proven that the mind can stop the pain signals from getting to the brain. It’s easy for anyone to do. I have helped many people, like you, feel better, and learn to have comfort where they used to have a problem.

One way to easily change sensations is to imagine the area you choose to make feel better as a red spot. Now take a deep comforting breath in and imagine cool, almost icy, air going right to that spot and cooling it down, so it changes color, a lighter shade, like pink. With each breath in, you cool it down some more, changing it to a paler shade of pink, then cooler, to blue, while exhaling any discomfort right out of your body. That is one way that you can feel more comfort. Some people like to imagine seeing themselves in a mirror, getting more and more comfortable, as they notice when they look at themselves they can feel free of the discomfort they used to have.

Can you see or imagine yourself, over there, in that mirror, looking and feeling better than you have in a long time. I have helped a lot of people, like you, to change the pain they used to have into a sound. No matter how loud or distracting the sound, they could always turn the volume down. Some turned it down to a low noise that didn’t bother them anymore, while many found it more comforting to just turn the sound off completely. I don’t know what way will work better for you, that is up to you. Sometimes you might find it easier to take your mind to an amazing place. A place of comfort, like a vacation, somewhere where you can go, to get away and really relax. Maybe it’s somewhere you have been, somewhere full of happy, pleasant feelings, soothing sounds, fresh scents, that bring you back, to a time, a place, where you felt so good, so free, no worries, no stress, just relaxation and comfort. Maybe you can go somewhere you have never been, imagining how good you can feel, how wonderful it is to be free, to feel totally relaxed in this new place, of comfort. I don’t know where your mind can take you, but I know there has been a time when you felt really good. Your body can remember how it felt to feel really good, and you might have noticed that when the body remembers a really good feeling, that you can know where in your body that good feeling starts. Some people think it feels wonderful to move that good feeling in little circles, make it spin, and as it spins that good feeling throughout the body, your mind can begin to enjoy moving that spin faster, swirling it around. And as your body begins to remember every good sensation it has ever experienced, every sense of comfort, relaxation, that the body has ever felt, that spin becomes bigger and begins to swirl to those places that need it most. Just good feelings, smoothing over, comforting wherever it moves, because you know how to feel good.

Sometimes the mind may forget, but the body knows what comfort feels like.

Sometimes, you might feel even better, adding some laughter into that spin. I don’t know when the last time you laughed, I mean really laughed, was, but I know that the mind can think of the time, a time you just had to laugh out loud. I don’t know what you find funny, maybe a time when you just knew, no matter what you did, you had to let it out, couldn’t help but laugh. Maybe it was at a movie, with a friend or maybe it was even inappropriate laughter. You know what that is, don’t you? Inappropriate laughter, where you just couldn’t control that laugh, that time, when it came out of nowhere and you had to just try to hold it back, but, the laughter came anyway, yes, that kind of laughter, that we all know on some level. They say that laughter heals, and you can feel how that’s true, now, take that feeling, that giggly kind of feeling, and throw that into the spin. The spin that is swirling good feelings through your body, that’s right, it’s funny, when you think of it, when you realize how powerful you are and how easy you can change sensations in your body, with your mind, now. I know you can feel this good, whenever you need to, it’s easy.

All you have to do, to feel this relaxation, is count, nice and slow, in your mind, from ten down to one, like this; ten, allowing my body to relax, nine, getting even more relaxed, eight, deeper relaxed with each number, seven every muscle feeling better, six, more and more relaxed, five, so nice, so comfortable, four, deeper and deeper relaxed, three, feeling good, two, feeling better, and one. It doesn’t matter what you say to yourself as you count, just that you know you will feel more and more relaxed with each and every count, every breath will bring more and more comfort.

Stress And Relaxation - How You Can Live A Happy, Stress-Free Life

By Ronnie Nijmeh

Many of us feel like we don't have time for relaxation - we simply have so many demands on our time that relaxation seems like a luxury. However, the link between stress and relaxation is a strong one - unless we take the time to relax, the effects of stress can take over our lives and begin to wear us down, both physically and emotionally.

Using stress relaxation techniques will help you to feel more grounded. When you become stressed, you tend to lose focus of the things around you. This can cause a variety of problems, from missed deadlines, to accidents, to forgotten appointments or meetings. When you take the time to relax, you will have fewer of these problems, which will make you work more efficiently.

Incorporating stress management relaxation techniques into your life will also help you to feel better physically. The pace at which you live your life takes its toll on your bodies. It's true, you do become more prone to illness and disease, and long term stress can put you in a physical state of feeling run down all the time. Using techniques for stress and relaxation can help make sure you are in top physical condition, so you can be ready for anything that comes your way.

Quick Tips to Help You Relax

One of the best techniques for stress and relaxation is learning how to let little things go. No matter how hard you try, there will be little things that will get in your way and frustrate you. It's normal!

People will cut you off in traffic, bosses will dump projects on you with tight deadlines, and your children will refuse to go to bed at bedtime. Learning to let go of the stress associated with these things will help you free up energy, so that you can be more focused on the positive things in your lives. Don't let the little frustrations in your day overshadow all the wonderful successes. It's not worth it!

Another effective stress and relaxation techniques is to take a few minutes each morning for prayer or meditation. Starting your day without this physical and mental preparation is like charging into a forest without a map. Prayer and meditation helps to calm you down, focus, and be open to opportunities and ideas that will present themselves throughout the day. We can all use a little more silence in our day!

Finally, getting away from the routine tasks in your life, even for just a few hours, is a great stress and relaxation technique. Arrange a dinner out with your spouse, spend some time playing with the kids, or just grab a good book and find a quiet spot to read. The mental break will help you to recharge, and will help you deal with your tasks more effectively. And make sure to specifically schedule in relaxation time. It's just as important as everything else in your life.

Don't just stop with these suggestions - implement them into your daily life! These stress tips and techniques are only valuable if they are fully integrated into both your work and family life. You really can live a happier, more stress free life, if you choose to put yourself first!

Beliefs In Hypnosis: Client Belief And Hypnotist Belief

By Melissa Tiers

Occasionally a client arrives in my New York hypnosis office with a set of beliefs which entirely mismatch my own. When this happens I need to decide how to react.

An example of such a belief that I have experienced is that of hypnosis clients with the presenting issue of “entity attachment”. One reaction would be fear based, to just shut down further discussion. This is no good for anyone's learning and limits options for offering hypnosis help to the client.

Belief and Suggestion

Instead of addressing whether entity attachment is an actual phenomena, I would like to talk about the certified hypnotist’s own belief, expectation, and maybe, the very nature of suggestion. If our words are a minuscule percentage of our total communication, then how much of our inner beliefs are we sharing with our clients through our non-verbals, our energy and our intent? I often wonder about this as I marvel at the nature of change that goes on in our offices. I know that a split second subtle raise of the eyebrow is caught by the unconscious mind and a level of doubt is suggested. I know if I subtly raise my voice tonality at the end of a tag question, I insert a dash of uncertainty. If my tonality lowers, it's a subtle command and agreement is suggested.

Model of the World

How much does our model of the world influence our clients? I try to hold the best intention, the presupposition of change, and the belief that my client will be helped, in my mind with every client. I said try, because …well...nobody’s perfect. But if I have this in mind, then I feel that my non verbal communication will help the session go as planned. It's the same with some of the presuppositions of NLP (I use neuro linguistic programming as well as other methods in my hypnosis practice here in New York). If I act as if these positive presuppositions are true, then change is easier.

The Best Technique Depends Upon the Hypnotist’s Belief

Now, if I believed that only regression to cause can truly help my client then that is the process I better use, because the clients unconscious mind can sense incongruity on many levels. If I feel that only somnambulism allows for change, then NLP, EFT and all other lighter states of trance will be worthless.

I heard of a hypnotist who had a number of clients with “entity attachment” as the presenting issue. If a large percentage of your clients have a certain type of issue, then this itself is something that begs to be examined. Is it simply the law of attraction in action?

Maybe your inner beliefs influence your clients? I really don't know the answer. I know that we don't know much about the very nature of consciousness and the more research we do the less we seem to know. What if it's more like a metaphor that comes alive for the client, like the different parts we can create in order to facilitate change. It's a great symbol for a client that doesn't believe this is a part of him/herself. Like the casting out of demons…

Questions Question Questions

Questions, questions, questions. I still feel that whether this is true or not, and for my own psyche's sake, I hope it is not (I watched too many horror movies as a kid).

I do think that the question of why we attract certain clients should be explored. I think it can offer us some amazing insights into what it is we do when we do that thing that helps people heal.

Top 5 Ways To Help Control Your Anger

By Trevor Johnson

You've heard about anger management but is it really possible to control your anger?

By putting these easy to follow tips into practice, you should be able to gradually reduce your bouts of anger and become a person who people want to associate with again, rather than someone who blows their top at the slightest provocation and everyone avoids as much as possible.

1. Talk to someone

If you've got a close friend – maybe a person who has known you for years - or even someone in your family, talk things out with them. How you play this depends on you but often the simple act of talking about your feelings helps diffuse them. Oftentimes it doesn't matter if the person you're talking to says little if anything.

2. Write about it

If talking to someone is too much for you or if your anger fits have got so bad that no-one will talk to you any more, then write it down. Write or type away without editing what you write. Just write constantly for between 5 and 15 minutes. This kind of "brain dump" lets your subconscious out into the open and you may be surprised at some of the things you write. There's no need to show anyone else what you've written so feel free to vent your anger on the paper or keyboard (but don't throw it out of the window!).

3. Get some exercise

Anything from a brisk walk to a workout in the gym. Exercise releases "feel good" substances in our body called endorphins, so chances are that this will help you feel better. If you haven't got a gym membership and the weather doesn't lend itself to going outside, you can improvise a punch bag by using a pillow. Ideally not a feather pillow just in case you break through the casing – clearing up all those feathers won't help your anger.

4. Learn to breathe

This may sound dumb – after all, you must be breathing in order to read this – but most of us don't breathe consciously. Your mother probably told you to take a deep breath to calm down and she was right. Take a long, slow deep breath in. Linger over this and hold your breath for a second or two. Then exhale slowly and completely. Do this five or six times and you'll be amazed at how calm and relaxed you start to feel versus how you were before. Since we all breathe all the time, this is an easy exercise to perform almost anywhere.

5. Take up relaxation

This can take many different forms. Maybe there's a local yoga class you can attend. Or get hold of a relaxation or meditation MP3 file and play this to yourself on a regular basis. Find yourself some space to chill. Whether it's part of your bedroom or a chair in the garden or park, it doesn't matter. Just make it some personal "chill" space. Obviously if this is in a public area, don't freak or get upset if you have to share it with other people occasionally. Set aside a regular time to de-stress and unwind.

Staying Calm Under Pressure

By Ronnie Nijmeh

We all have those days when we have so much on our plate that we could easily give into our stress and anxiety. It's part of being a person and having responsibility, but that doesn't mean that we have to let stress and anxiety to get the best of us.

During those rough days when nothing seems to be going our way, we can choose how we react. We could pull our hair out and mutter swear words... or we can use positive self-talk by repeating a few anti-anxiety affirmations to ourselves. These positive affirmations can help to ground us and remind us that we ultimately have control over how we respond to external stresses.

Each of us have things that make us feel anxious. For some of us we feel anxious as soon as the alarm clock goes off in the morning because we know that there are going to be things that we cannot control during our day. If this describes you, you may find that greeting each day with a series of free positive affirmations will help you repel this instantaneous anxiety upon wakening. Instead of waking up in the morning and instantly being filled with anxiety about what you need to do, you can slow down and say a few anxiety affirmations. You may very well be amazed at what this can do for the rest of your day!

Other people start to feel anxious when they get to work. Maybe it's because their boss starts making intense demands or their co-workers aren't doing their job as well as they should, leaving you to pick up the slack. Before you allow anxiety to take over completely, why not take a deep breath and recite one of the very simple anxiety affirmations that you know to help you calm down a bit? Sometimes just stopping and saying one of many simple free positive affirmations is enough to allow us to gain our composure.

Anxiety Can Paralyze or Motivate You. Which Do You Choose?

Every day, each of us has a choice to give into anxiety and allow it to control our lives... or we have the ability to use any anxiety and stress to keep us moving forward. Think about it, if you did not have any anxiety you may never get out of bed in the morning. While anxiety can be good, you can use the power that anxiety can hold through the use of anxiety affirmations, to power all of your actions. When you are able to turn the tables you will find that anxiety can be something that can work for you!

Free positive affirmations are basically little statements that you can stop and say during your day to remind you that you can deal with anything. Whether it's the alarm clock going off, your kids being demanding, your spouse nagging at you, or your boss and co-workers demanding a lot of you, you can recite these little anxiety affirmations to remind yourself that these little things are just that, little things.

When you use free positive affirmations you are simply stopping the overwhelming anxiety in its tracks and, instead, making it work for you!

Stress Management Tips To Cut Your Stress Levels

By Trevor Johnson

Stress. It seems to come hand in hand with our modern day living. Follow these simple stress management tips to help get your life back under control.

1. Get some exercise

There's a temptation to rush everywhere at warp speed. Where once we'd have walked, we now drive. If you have enough time then treat yourself to membership of a gym. But if not, just introduce some gentle exercise into your life anyway. A brisk walk works well for this. Exercising releases things called endorphins which are our body's own natural "feel good" substances, so even a fairly brief period of exercise will release these and leave you feeling happier.

2. Chill out

Take some time out for yourself. Play your favorite music. Put on a comedy DVD. Relax for a change! If you haven't got any music you find relaxing, do a quick search for relaxation or meditation CDs and treat yourself to one of them. Make sure that people close to you know when it's your chill time so you're not disturbed. And turn off your cell phone - if it's that important, they'll leave a message.

3. Just say no

Which isn't quite the same as the Nike slogan. Saying no to something that you know will just overload you is important. After the initial shock, the person you've just said no to will probably appreciate that you've done this rather than saying yes and failing to deliver on the promise.

4. Eat naturally and cut down on the junk food

There's a temptation when we're stressed to do everything in a hurry. That temptation usually stretches to our food. Rather than wolf down a burger and fries and ten minutes later totally forget what you've eaten, take the time out to eat some nice healthy food. Sit down to eat. Turn off the television. Stop reading. Just eat. Notice the food. Notice the flavors and textures. Actually enjoy your food!

5. Drink plenty of water and cut down on the caffeine

Your body needs water. It doesn't need the extra shot in the coffee (or even the coffee). Caffeine messes with us in all sorts of ways that aren't pleasant and although it may initially seem to help, it doesn't really. Unless you're a light user, don't cut out caffeine all in one go. Phase it out gradually - the withdrawal symptoms will be a lot less severe that way. Oh, and cut out the sugar filled soda drinks as well (whether they're full sugar or diet equivalents).

6. Take a power nap

These aren't reserved for fiction and movies. Power naps will help you refresh your body and will you'll leave them feeling happy and raring to go again.

7. Get a life (or at least a hobby)

If your whole life is your work, it's no wonder you're stressed. Take a break rather than stressing about work 24/7. Take up a hobby. Ideally one where you'll meet and interact with other people but if the only hobby you can make time for is making matchstick models of ships and placing them in bottles, so be it. At least it's not work!

Is This Overlooked Secret Holding You Back?

By David Panarese

Have you discovered that you have read many self help books, listen to Cd's, did most of what was suggested yet nothing has really changed? Are you in the same old place? Are you looking to have a break out year? Being successful at whatever you desire is no mystery, success leaves clues. Successful people share some very common characteristics, learning what they are and applying them will help put you on the fast track. I hear stories all the time as to why a person could not do this or accomplish that. The main thing that stands between people and what they want are the reasons why they can't have it. Winners create results, whiners make excuses. This may seem a little harsh, but it is an absolute truth. Grasping this truth will give you a great jump start but in itself will not bring you the total success you seek. There still remains a little talked about secret that is necessary for that breakthrough experience.

I remember when I jumped on the self improvement bandwagon a number of years ago and did all the things we talked about. While I was experiencing personal growth and changes were occurring, I was still struggling on a financial level. No matter what I tried I just could not seem to breakthrough to that next level. Then one day while listening to one of my mentors speak it suddenly came together and my life changed forever. I was absolutely shocked when I learned that less than 10% of the people who buy a book or buy a cd seminar ever go past the first chapter or cd. I eagerly attacked the material, but I was often very guilty of not applying all the skills taught or doing all the exercises. Then it clicked. There are a number of common characteristics or skills that successful people share. It is not some successful people, some of the key skills, some of the time. It is all successful people , apply all of the key skills, all the time.

Maybe a trip to the kitchen can give us a better understanding of this. Imagine that today we are going to make chocolate brownies. With all the ingredients in front of us what would happen if we forgot to add the chocolate or maybe the mix? That's right- a disaster! What if we did just the opposite? After adding all the ingredients we decided to add a cup of vinegar or sour pickles? I don't think our chocolate brownies would be much of a success. I have found that is exactly what most people do when embarking on a self help program. Instead of applying what they learn, they try a few of the steps but leave out many of the key ingredients. Yet some people add a few extra things into the mixture like a dash of fear, or a pinch of negative speech! Leaving out or adding ingredients to the mixture destroys the recipe. Take a few minutes and reflect on the key essential ingredients to accomplishing the level of success you seek. Now write them down. You will definitely succeed if you go a little slower , focus on developing all of the essential skills, and make it a daily habit. Success is not something we bump into, fall over, or develop once and forget about. It is a lifestyle, a way of life, it takes effort and time. We are victims of our habits, great habits develop great results, and bad habits.....well I think you know.

I Am A Positive Affirmation!

By Ronnie Nijmeh

Affirmations have been used since the beginning of time. We use affirmations to help us lose weight, get a better paying job, stop smoking, and even be more outgoing in social settings. Positive affirmations help us build self-confidence and self-esteem. We use affirmations to control our fears and anxieties and remind us of how we are making a positive difference in our lives. Positive affirmations can be successfully utilized in all areas to enhance personal growth.

What is an Affirmation?

An affirmation is a statement that you repeat to yourself constantly. People use affirmations constantly without realizing what they are doing.

For example: you walk on the treadmill in the early morning, jump in the shower afterwards and then head to work when you are finished. On the drive in you think: "I feel awesome!" That is a positive affirmation. You drag yourself out of bed, take your shower and then head to work when you are finished. On the drive to work, you may think: "I feel lousy!" Obviously, that's a negative affirmation. Both statements contribute to the emotional state you are in. So why not choose to be positive? You'll feel better and perform better!

When we talk to ourselves, the things we say are very important because they have direct influence on our conscious and subconscious mind. We listen to everything we say to ourselves whether it is audible, or it comes from our subconscious mind. Positive affirmations are essential in maintaining a healthy flow of positive thoughts into our minds. We can use them to transform the negative affirmations of our past into positive affirmations that will move us forward to the goals we wish to obtain in our lives. It takes diligence in the beginning to change how we think, but the results will be worth the effort.

It is important to always make sure that the positive affirmations you choose are personal in many aspects. You will want to always state them in the first person and in the present tense, for example "I am healthy and slim, and I only eat when I am hungry." You have made it personal, and in the words that you would use in normal conversation. Plus you're not talking about "theoreticals," you are talking about the here-and-now. If you make the positive affirmations too complicated or wordy, you will have a hard time remembering them and soon get discouraged and give up.

When you actually state the positive affirmation out loud, you need to state it with enthusiasm and feeling. "I am an awesome team player," or "I am a valuable asset to my company!" And to make sure that the affirmations take hold you need to continue reciting them daily for an extended period of time until they become a natural part of your thought patterns.

A list of positive affirmations to help you achieve your goal for inner harmony is below:

• I choose to balance my work schedule well.

• I sleep peacefully each night.

• I encourage and praise my kids each day.

• I brighten my day by smiling at others.

• I am a good listener for my friends.

• I enjoy the wonderful home that I have created for my family.

• I am a beautiful person inside and out.

Meditating on the Chakras

By Kevin Forrester

There are many charkas in the body but there are only seven main chakras. These are points in the body that corresponds to a specific area where multiple nerves crisscross. It is believed that through meditating on these specific charkas you can learn to control the energy in your body and experience everything from spontaneous healing to enlightenment. The level of experience and commitment will determine the success and the amount of energy one can develop through meditating on the chakras. The real key is in using proper meditating techniques and concentrating on three main chakras.

1. Root Chakra or Muladhara: This chakra is located at the base of the spine and aids us in our ability to survive and adapt. This area once opened is also considered to give us the stability we need to endure the trials of our everyday lives. When this chakra is blocked it makes us afraid of change but once opened will open us up to the beauty and wondrous opportunities that life has to offer.

2. Sexual Chakra or Swadhishtana: This chakra is located behind the genital region and it is concerned with our sexual and passionate energies. Free flowing energy in this area will bring about a positive energy in our lives. A blockage in this sarea can result in sexual and or reproductive problems that will inhibit the free flowing energy and cause negative energy in our lives.

3. Navel or Manipura: This chakra is associated with energy and willpower and is located just below the navel. This chakra is the power center of the body and is the release point for pranic energy. Meditating on this chakra will bring great energy can be used to summon great strength.

4. Heart or Anahata: The heart chakra is located in the area directly over the heart and is associated with great kindness and love. Meditating on this chakra can have a profound experience and open up your heart to the true undeniable beauty in the universe. This chakra is thought to connect the body mind and spirit.

5. Throat Chakra or Vishuddha: This energy point is located at the base of the skull and is mainly associated with our ability to express ourselves and also has a direct impact on our glandular system. Opening this chakra will also help those that have a difficult time communicating.

6. Brow Chakra or Ajna: The Sixth Chakra. The brow chakra also know as the third eye is considered to be the point at which the conscious and the unconscious knowledge come together to open up our psychic and intuitive abilities. Meditating on the third eye is a favorite among beginning practitioners because of the profound insights one can gain from even marginal success at opening the third eye.

7. Crown Chakra or Sahasrara: The Seventh Chakra. This is thought to be the spiritual chakra where one can find true wisdom and the nature of all understanding can be experienced. This is thought to be the energy point at which true enlightenment and a form of self-realization can occur. Meditating on this chakra will produce profound effects and must be approached with caution and knowledge.

The value of opening the chakras can’t be debated. These are energy points in our body that control whether we are healthy or unhealthy. Through the proper meditation techniques we can open our chakras and explore a life that will be both fulfilling and intensely spiritual by nature. There are three main chakras that when opened properly will accelerate your growth and spiritual awakening.

Learn the proper way to meditate to open the three main chakras for spiritual growth and expanding your multi dimensional consciousness. While the focus is on spiritual growth, the profound effects it will have on your health and personal life is unequaled.

Passion And Performance Go Hand In Hand

By Ronnie Nijmeh

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to stand out in life while others simply blend in? What is the difference between these two groups of people?

Well, it all comes down to passion. When you are passionate about what you do, this passion fuels every aspect of your life, including your performance at work and at play.

Passion affirmations can help you remember why it's important to remain passionate about everything that you do. If you become complacent in life, your performance suffers and your success isn't what it could be. Through free positive affirmations you really can live a more passionate, positive life.

Continue to Tap Into Your Passion

Even the most passionate people find themselves in a rut from time to time, but how can you keep going? How can you continue to push forward and continue to stand out in the crowd?

Well, the most successful people out there use positive affirmations multiple times a day to stay focused and passionate. You, too, can use affirmations in your life and learn how to tap into your passion and use it to your advantage.

What are Passion Affirmations?

Passion affirmations are statements that describe what you want to be, feel, or how you want to behave. It could be something as simple as, "My passion to be successful is my driving force."

It seems simple, but when you repeat this to yourself and believe it, it has a power all its own. By tapping into this positive internal dialog and believing in the words, you will move further with intense vigor and momentum. Many of us unknowingly have a negative dialog going on in our heads and it works against us.

When you use passion affirmations you can harness all of your passion and you can use it to move you forward, allowing you to put your best foot forward at every turn. It sounds too good to be true, but what you are doing is re-training your brain to always think positive instead of negative.

Passion is a big part of being successful and though it is difficult to be passionate about everything in life, when you remind yourself of the benefits and purpose of living a passionate life, it becomes easier with time. After all, practice makes perfect!

Positive affirmations may not come naturally to you. In fact, those that can benefit from free positive affirmations the most are usually those that have a very negative inner dialog. It'll take some practice to insert these positive thoughts about passion and performance where negative ones used to run rampant, but when you do this for awhile it will become second nature.

When your free positive affirmations ingrained, you will soon find that your passion for life is at an all time high and your performance in every aspect of your life is better than ever before. You really can be one of those people that stand out. All you have to do is simply change your inner dialog, who knew it could be so easy?

Think Positive

By Kevin Forrester

Learning how to think positively takes conscious effort and the will and determination to succeed. If you’ve ever found yourself constantly stuck in negative thought patterns and expecting the worst outcome in most situations then you can be assured that you are attracting negative things into your life. This is a common mind-set that is difficult to change but the good news is that turning your negative outlook into a positive one just takes a little persistence until the positive thoughts take over.

There are a few things you can do to help you start forming positive thoughts and expectations. Try these on a daily basis and you will start to see some dramatic changes happen in your life.

1)You will need to start developing a level of self-awareness to recognize negative expectations. A problem with negative thoughts is that they often happen below your conscious level of awareness, and you get so used to them being in your head that you hardly notice them anymore. In order to turn the tide of negativity, you’ll have to develop a stronger level of self-awareness. One good way to start is by performing self-checks several times a day. Pay attention first to how you feel. If you’re feeling positive and productive, most likely you’ve been thinking positive thoughts.

The results of negative thinking can manifest feeling of irritability, pessimism and stress. If this is how you’re feeling then you’re probably focusing more on negative thoughts. When that happens:

2)Try and challenge and change the negative thoughts. Believe it or not, it’s fairly easy to change negative thoughts with a little willpower and concentration. If you find yourself feeling doubtful about your ability to finish your work on time, you can try a bit of self-talk like this: “Okay, so I’m feeling a bit worried right now, but really everything is okay. I’m strong, I’m smart and I’m capable of finishing my work on time. I’ll do my best and everything will work out fine.” Even though nothing may have changed in your outer circumstances, this type of self-talk can get you thinking and feeling more positive.

3)While you’re changing negative thoughts to positive, try and develop a general positive expectation habit. Each day when you wake up, affirm confidently, “Today is going to be a great day! Everything will go my way and I’ll enjoy plenty of positive opportunities and fun!”

You will encounter obstacles and problems. When this happens try and see them as opportunities to learn, grow and strengthen yourself. Our perception is 99% of the game! If you simply work on changing the way you look at all the experiences of your life, you will begin to conquer your negative thoughts and habits.

Positive thinking is the reservoir that holds all of our potential abilities as human beings. It is full of positive thoughts, feelings, images, experiences, skills, visions and abilities. Any time we learn a new skill, enjoy a new dimension of life or deepen our understanding it is because we have uncovered an aspect of our positive being.

Questions To Ask Yourself For A More Peaceful Life

By Ronnie Nijmeh

Self-reflection is one of those seemingly forgotten techniques that can greatly benefit us. It makes us stop and really look at our life, behavior, and even our relationships and consider what we are doing right - and wrong.

When you do this you can see the changes you need to make in order to improve your life. Reflection is something that is good for the soul, as long as you keep it positive. You may have a negative thinking process that is more of a burden than a boon. Positive affirmations can help you reflect in a positive way so you can experience the great benefits first hand.

Self-Reflection Questions to Ask Yourself

Self-reflection questions go hand in hand with self-reflection affirmations. When you ask yourself questions you should have self-reflection affirmations that help to guide you to making the right decisions in your life so you can live a more positive life. Allow your affirmations to guide your self-reflection because this will ensure that you are taking a positive approach instead of a negative one.

Questions you can ask yourself may include:

• What has gone well in my life over the past year?

• What things have brought me my greatest happiness?

• What things in the last year have provided the greatest challenge?

• At what things have I been successful?

• What am I most proud of?

• What aspects of my life or attitudes could I change for the better?

• How have I grown over the last year?

These are some very simple self-reflection questions that you can ask yourself. You may want to write down your answers so you are able to go over them as much as you need to. When you read the answers remember to use positive affirmations (such as: " My past is only a benchmark for my present and future progression.") to stay positive.

Remember self-reflection affirmations are positive statements and you want to push out the negative thoughts out of your mind. Many of us have a tendency to tear ourselves apart when we reflect, but this is not the purpose. Using positive affirmations you can look at your life, where you have been, and where you want to go and create a plan that will allow you to get where you want to go in your life. Self-reflection can be a positive and valuable experience when you use self-reflection affirmations to stay focused on the positive.

There are free positive affirmations that you can put to use if you are not sure what sort of self-reflection affirmations you should use. These will help guide you and, in time, you may find that you can develop your own. It's important to believe in the positive affirmations that you choose because this will give you the power to make changes in your life.

It may take some practice to make affirmations work for you, especially if you have a tendency to be negative when you reflect on past choices, but keep with it. Positive affirmations really do work! Check out the information below for some positive affirmation resources.

Memory Improvement – Don’t Feel Guilty if You Forget

By Matt Santi

Failed at memory improvement?

Feel like you can't remember a darn thing? Tired of forgetting where you left the keys or the cell phone?

You can remember anything with a little work. Think about it for a moment. Your mind is a very powerful tool, but only when used correctly.

First, stop beating yourself up. Forgive yourself and let go of the fact that you seem to always 'misplace' the keys. I've struggled with this for a long time now and realized beating myself up over it does no good.

Pick a designated spot where you can put your everyday on the go items such as the wallet and cell phone next to your night stand in your room. Make a habit out of putting it there and very soon you will do this automatically.

When you do this automatically you won't have to think or worry about where you put the keys or the cell phone. Creating a habit is one way of working on memory improvement. Just make it automatic.

Second, create associations. When it comes remembering something new, come up with something you can associate the new idea with. This helps create a bridge so to speak for you to relate between an old and a new idea. For example, you know how to drive a car.

You have done it for over 10 years and you do so without thinking about it. Your best friend wants to go-kart race. You never have driven one before. What do you do? Think like you drive a regular car. Both machines are similar in their approaches to operation. Not the exact same, but they do share some certain similarities. This is another way that can help in memory improvement.

Let's switch gears for a moment. You may think these techniques are useless and swear you just are a forgetful person.

But think about this for a moment. While you read this article, you recognized instantly and on the spot hundreds of different letter combinations that form words. How else could you possibly make it this far if you did not remember the meaning associated with each letter that makes up word?

Think of facts about your favorite sport or hobby? What else quickly comes to your mind? These thoughts probably came in the form of pictures to your mind. You are remembering.

You remember the days of the weeks and the standard concepts of time. How is it that you don't forget these ideas? Easy. You live with them and apply these ideas on a daily basis. Memory improvement does not have to be so challenging.

You can remember an old high school buddy from 10 years ago, even if you saw him in the African Sahara because you associate certain characteristics with him.

However, you may pass the same stranger every day on your walk to work, recognize his face and never learn his name. Then one day you may come across him in a city far away and you begin to wonder just exactly where did you see him last. He looks familiar you will think to yourself.

How come you can't recall where you had seen this mean before? It is due to the fact that you did not associate the man with anything. You never get it a second thought. It was a passive thought and played of little importance to you and your life.

You remember the things that are important to you and forget the little ones, especially useless information that doesn't add any value to your life.

As you progress through life, memory improvement will become vital to living a longer and happier life. However, don't feel so guilty next time you cannot remember something. Chances are it was of little importance to you in the first place.
